Note: While there is a sign-up thread for each scrim, chances are they'll be used more for forecasting numbers than for holding people to a time. If you haven't signed up and find that you have time for one (or more!) of the scrims this Saturday, just show up! There will likely be room for you on whichever server we're using.

That being said, if you know you'll want to participate in one, please sign up. It helps us to figure out how many people will be participating per scrim (i.e. which server we'll need to use).

There are a few classes I'd love to attend. But I have a problem. It will be impossible for me to attend basic infantry at 10am since I won't be home before 1pm.

Now, all the courses that I'd like to take later that day have basic infantry as a pre-requisite. It is also requested to take at least one class to attend a scrim, so I can't do either. So basically, I'm condemned to watch bad TV all day or worse, playing on a random server.

Is there anyway that I could attend some classes without attending the "basic infantry" course? I'll make sure to attend basic infantry as soon as possible, promise!

You are more than welcome to sign up for the classes you want to take. Just remember that if the class fills up those who have taken Basic Infantry are top on the list of who gets in.

Smachin is spot on Gronigo. If I remember my TGU bylaws correctly you are allowed to attend a course without having the prerequisite. However, you can have your slot bumped for someone that does have the prereq. Also, upon completion of the course you are not allowed to wear the ribbon or given official recognition for completion until you go back and take the prerequisite. So you can sign up and attend as many courses/scrims as you want to. However, you won't be given official completion until you go back and take Basic Infantry.

    Does that clear things up?

I just went and looked at all the class signup threads and am amazed. Some are almost full and all have at least a few people signed up. We have around 125 people signed up for classes right now and its only Wednesday!! Granted some of that is the same person signed up for multiple courses... but still... 125 so far!! That is so epic!! Keep it coming guys and gals!

Thanks to you for answering my questions. Now that I've spent time reading the actual course posts, I realize that they held the answer to my question. Shame on me for asking before reading.

Say, will we be able to earn the Advanced ribbons?

Tomorrow indeed!!! I also have a really awesome observation from Smachin to share. As of the singups 2 days ago Instruc-Terror was signed up to put 131 students through various courses and thus award 131 training badges to BF2142 players. Smachin went back and looked at all the past training badges awarded by all of TGU for all platforms (AKA: every game we support). You know how many we've given out in total prior to this event?

    ...183...

So tomorrow we will be awarding just about as many training badges in ONE DAY as TGU has since its inception! I mean.... just wow! This truly is going to be one of the most amazing events ever held in TGU! Thank you all for signing up, participating, and helping to bring my little brainchild to life. I feel like Dr. Frankenstein after the lightning bolt strikes the creature....
