which version do you get there is a 1.7 and a 1.7b if I remember correctly

You need both, 1.7b is just a hotfix for 1.7

I seem to be only able to play suez with 38 people a side, any suggestions

Multiplayer -> Local -> Create -> Conquest Co-op -> read the readme.txt file in the installation zip.

you are playing as single player, you have to start a local server, it doesn't work from the single player menu

Heh That was fun...and a little scary. I had a mental image of all those PACs having Zhohar's name on them...
