So basically it is a simple who can blow up dead guys the most kinda mod. I can see the appeal for a single LAN party but it doesn't seem to have enough shelf life prowess to me. YMMV.

PS. I should mention that I have yet to try it so I don't know what I am missing :P

It's a diversion. Not like it will be the new battlefield

I remember yesterday when I spotted a wave of 30-40 zombies, completely scary. We won that round though.

I love it!... it is next to impossible to win a round with only one person though :P...I had 1,200 some kills to 6 deaths and still lost :P

Haha Cooling i remember u on that car! That was great. Should have gotten one before u feel off when i put the rdx there. Zombies can learn how to fly as long as u use enough explosives! Def an absolute must! Great times great times. To bad we had those traitors who went over to the zombie side.... At least we got to blow there heads off a few times.

FYI: Zombies HATE water! Get them in the water and its a turkey shoot! Just have someone be the bait in the water and the rest mow them down. O o many bodies... O so many times our brains were eaten.

I stand corrected

I was able to play the mod the other night with a good many regular TGers and it was FUN!!!. The playability goes beyond a single LAN party night. The best is having some join the Zombies and hide in a zombie-rush out to get you

It is definitely worth the play. My thanks goes out to last Wednesday's crew that showed me brrraINSSSSS!!!!.

Sorry for yet another bump...

Just wanted to stop by and say "Hi"

I am Fingulfin, the creator of the 2142 Zmod, and I am amazed that people are still playing it! I began this mod in late May, and finished it early June. I had a 16 man unranked server running for around 4 months, however due to lack of interest and funding I had to shut it down

Saddens me that you guys are 6 months too late for the action though... If you guys want to know how to set up a server with the Zmod functioning, just ask! After many hours of debugging and testing out configs, I was able to get it to run PERFECTLY on my unranked except for one thing; whenever the server changes maps (as in Gib -> Cerbere, not Gib->Gib) the teams auto-balance themselves out. This means that the admin has to pause the server and manually (via 2142CC) drag each and every zombie to the correct team. I tried using my limited amount of Python knowledge to change this, however I was ultimately unsuccessful. Because of this problem, nobody would put up a server (I had multiple offers from several different clans/communities).

My clan (Lucky 13 or =L13=) disintegrated due to lack of interest in a common game (we all grew tired of 2142), and my interest in the mod died. If you guys want to try to run a server with it though, just drop me a PM and I would be glad to assist in any way I can (I still have all the server configs, etc).

Well, interest for Z-Mod kind of stopped here but I'll play it by myself. Man, it's a lot of fun trying to defeat the zombies by yourself.

2142 doesn't have tanks...

EDIT: Yes, 2142 has tanks. I realized how stupid it sounded when I put it down in text. *face palm*
