How to pronounce Gronigo and other lifesaving tips

Hi,

I'm Gronigo. I noticed that a lot of people wonder how to pronounce Gronigo. Before I give you the answer, some background is needed.

I chose this name in a hurry. I had played the demo for a short while and I decided to buy the game. My buddies were playing when I got it and I was in a hurry to join them. I chose the first name that came to mind. It was Gronigo.

I didn't make this name up. Gronigo was the hero of a french canadian TV show when I was a kid. See attached picture for proof.

Gronigo is the bird puppet next to Happy Girl, Goatee Folklord and that pink abstract-shaped character called Turlusson. I don't remember much about this show, but I met Turlusson in my uncle's basement. At first I was excited, but then I was told it was broken and had to be repaired. It was the first time in my life that someone told me a thing that talked was not alive. I was distraught. I think my childhood ended this day.

So basically, I'm not a fan of the puppet, but I'm stuck with the name since it's the character I unlocked everything with. So if you're still reading at this point, you're probably thinking that now should be the time for me to tell you how to pronounce Gronigo. I'm a man of my word, so here's a pretty close approximation of it:

grow-nee-go

But if you don't like it, you can call me Gron or anything you see fit.

You should not have had that last line. I commission thou "BIRD-PUPPET"(friendly or not is yet to be decided).

TG is the living proof that it's impossible to come up with a new forum topic. There is just absolutely no way I would have casually searched the forum for the "name pronounciation" thread. From now on, I, Gronigo, also known as BIRD-PUPPET, promise to perform a search for anything I might be about to write about, before I write it. They're basically the same, parrots are just a bit more interactive. And you don't need your hands to make them move.
