Sometimes i still have problems calling out flags cause i don´t know the english name.
but i am pretty lucky with my squads and keep up the jokes so i can just call out some names that pop up in my mind and people know what i´m talking about.
it´s better to try and fail then never tried at all.

Slavic languages are loosely related...plus that sounded vaguely like my Polish grandmother talking...

Haha, that's actually pretty funny. In Croatian (Hrvatski), the personal pronoun is not capitalized -- hence, the "J" should have been a "j".
It's pretty cool that you got the accent on Z right -- which, by the by, is the way the first sound my name here is pronounced. Ž = Zh.
And the verb "govoriti" is a generalized, gender-less version, so it's not quite right -- "govorim" would be more like it.

You got it pretty close though

Govorim is a direct translation to Russian way of saying "talking" like in "talking to someone"

    Interesting how its all interconnected.

Sweet! I figure it's pretty important to know how to say "I'm sorry, I don't speak X" in as many languages as possible. And I have to admit to copy/pasting the accent marks; I have no idea how to get them to show up while typing.

I work with an ethnic Albanian from Kosovo who just got his American citizenship about a month ago, and that got me interested in Indo-European languages. Seems like most of them are very closely related. They also look like they'd be lots of fun to learn.

Side note: I am amazed that "Kosovo" wasn't in Mozilla's spellchecker. Neither is "Indo-European."
