If i have a crappy round, i'll start singing to in VOIP to make everyone go into complete silence.
I'll begin to sing "All By Myself" if my squad doesn't catch up with me or they've abandoned me.
You Have Been Duly Warned.
(Nice post Cat! Personally, I find the most fun part of the game is doing a surprising action and imagining the reaction of the victim. Ah, I love RDX.)
Everyone has fun in a different way and I certainly respect your way of having fun Cat.
My way of having fun is to run a ridiculously adrenaline-pumped squad that's taking the game extremely seriously. We get in there to win, to murder, to rape, pillage, and slap your little sister, and we can read each other's thoughts and know what the SL is thinking before he does it. That is fun for me.
But heck, I've been known to cover people with tanks and kick them out of their office. It's just that I prefer the "this is serious, this is adrenaline" style of play more often.
I think what it really comes down to is: how seriously do you take all of this. Most of the time, I take it very seriously -- I'm not here to have fun, I'm not here to make sure the other side has fun, I'm here to win and become better. I'm here to punish you for every mistake you make, and I'm here to call myself a smacktard everytime I make a mistake, regardless of whether I die because of it or not.
And that's enjoyable for me.
But talking about fun -- I won't lie, before I found TG, I used to RDX bunn-hop on FF-OFF servers. Why? Because it's a helluva lot of fun. I used to drive RDX jeeps before I found TG. I used to frequent knife/pistol/sniper/explosives-only servers because they were a hell of a lot of fun.
And now I find tight, serious, organized squad-play fun, and that's the reason I'm a part of the 3rd.
And I hope that I can be truthful enough to myself to quit TG when this stops being fun.
Great post! I need to have more fun when I play!!! I do like to charge into a battle while humming the music to Apocalypse Now in VOIP, you know..when the helicopters are flying in.
I try to tell all of my squads to stay together, "a squad that stays together, dies together!"
Oh, I almost forgot....I truly have fun fighting against Zhohar.

You make my day when you make a squad on the opposite side Fubar. I'm not even kidding -- you're a part of that SL elite that is just beyond fun to play against.
When I see you, or Daddy, or Silver, or Reaper, or Meatwad -- I know I'm going to be punished for each second that I'm not playing top-notch game. It's so much fun to be pushed, to be slapped and humbled, to be shown where I'm making mistakes, to learn. And it's fun to win against you, sure, but it's so much more fun to lose against you. It doesn't feel fun, but I wouldn't give it up for anything.
You're awesome....I'll say it again and again. I have had the best and worst of both worlds while joining a squad. I have enjoyed playing the Battlefield series (especially 2142) and my goal was always to have fun. Most of the squads I have been in.........I have had so much fun and when I'm stuck in a squad that gets bent out of shape for whatever reason, I no longer feel the urge of playing. I stay in the squad (with the exception of one time) because I don't give up and think, just maybe, the squad leader will lighten up but most of the times they don't . BF 2142 is just that.....a game. A game to enjoy the BF experience with other members/people and have an awesome time. What better way to put skills together, some better than others, learn and make friends. I hope more of the squad leaders/members that need to lighten up, read this thread as they need to see that for the most part...people play this game to escape from the stresses of the day. With that said, WELL WRITTEN Sr. Gato (Mr. Cat). Meow Mix FTW Again, you're amazing and I'm happy to be part of the family
Latina.............out

Latina, there is no rocket science behind teabagging. As how I demonstrated on you many times, you simply hit the crouch key and release, crouch and release

This reminds me--we need a different name for it when chicks do it. The principle just isn't the same. But that's a topic for another thread that's probably far less G-rated...
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
