Thats how it's playing out. I see the same 3 people over and over nominating for ribbon awards. While that's great for them, we have another 200 members saying nothing here in 2142. You mean to tell me the rest of you see nothing special? Something that makes you think "how did he do that?" or "I can't believe he's still alive!"

I want you all to go and play like you normally do. I want you to write down someone who's also deserving of an award. Do go out of your way to make a halfass suggestion. I want a full AAR write-up of why this person is deserving. I know there are a ton of derserving people out there in need of a Medic award.

Here's a real nomination that was passed a few weeks ago. Of course the names are taken out.

He is always willing to step up into the SL role without hesitation. Once the squad has filled, he is quick to assign the appropriate roles for the situation.

Today, on Verdun, our squad, led by |TG| Player_X, held Church for almost the entire round, despite the fact that we were almost constantly under attack from infantry, armor, gunships, etc.. He kept the squad calm and focused, reminding everyone to keep the supporting roles up, reviving, re-supplying, etc.. Without his leadership, we most likely would have lost this silo.

Not only is he a great squad leader, but he always leads by example in the TG belief. He's a staunch supporter of our SOPs and rules, and well call for them to be followed by others if he sees violations.

I truly hope you consider him for his outstanding squad leading.

There also also nominations that are linked directly to AAR's posted in the forums. As long as they describe the player up for the award, that also works. Don't be afraid to nominate people in your own IHS. We don't see nominations as favortisum because you play with these people 90% of your game time and tend to see their abilities much more then anyone elses. Watch out for broad nominations like, "He always revives on time and doesn't get himself killed." These rarely get passed unless the admins know this player is a server best for the nomination. One last tip, lets say your player isn't a good medic, but just pulled out 4 revives and keep his squad going to cap for a win. While most of the time the player sucks at it, he still displayed above his normal ability to play and this is very deserving of a class 1 award.

So, go out and jot a few names down. Find one that stands out of the others and write up a good... no, a great reason what he needs another picture in his sig. If you have any questions on what some ribbons mean, please feel free to ask.
