Re: Put the....
Shortly after waking up with some hot tea. Mornings are rough in the cold Winter months.
The quick basement room my dad and I threw together is a far cry from the nice apartment I had in San Jose when I first joined TG, but hey, I'm saving some mad cash then moving out again in a month or two.

Re: Put the....
Spu, you and I have almost the exact same expression in the morning, completely unthrilled with being upright. It's obvious why we're the late night 2142 crew.

My eyes would probably be a little less puffy except that someone broke my glasses about 2 months ago, and I was only this past week able to order up a new pair. In fact, I got a deal and ordered TWO pair so I won't be without again.
So I get all squinty with headaches because work and fun keep me at the computer for sometimes 12-14 hours a day.

Once upon a time, my friend, once upon a time. I had about a year and a half of the Bay before I said "screw it" and moved home.
At least now, the rent is only 1/3 of what it once was for me. Can you imagine that? With all the calculation I've done, all I needed were two numbers to give me immense relief:
The cost of housing is roughly 1/3. We paid $2,100 a month for a fairly decent 2 bed 2 bath apt in San Jose. A nice 2/2 apartment in a decent part of town here, will run about $750-850. Plus utilities are notably less. Edison will only be about 60% of PG&E.
The salary for my jobs will be approximately 70% of what my salary was in California, which I was in fact underpaid for. The next job will, proportionately, be a 5% or so raise.
So just by moving home, considering I get HIRED to a job here (getting close...) I give myself a tremendous raise despite making 30% less money than I did before.
but hey, this is a photo thread.... sorry for the tangent

Such a striking resemblance... In this picture you look similar to my father.

Well, I do have French ancestry as well as French-Canadian. I'm not sure about Nova Scotia, but you never know, we could be distant cousins!
