Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !
WHat wiskey said. Turn all other Ingame sounds down and the voice IP will get "louder" in proportion. This also goes when ppl always complain "I canīt hear anything over the Gunship sound!".
There also is a setting of "incoming" transmission. Be sure to pull that up to 100% also.

Lyra, will you ever give somebody a chance in L4D?

No, but since L4D is all about 4 people Teamwork you can easily pummel the strongest member of a group with the Infected - while his less well trained teammates will take their sweet time to rescue him

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !
Since 1.5 I can't hear when people say medic this like medic, supplies etc. Sometimes I hear nothing and sometimes a just a sound which I can't really think of a word to describe.

OLyra,
What are the distinguishing traits of good shooters?
More bullets on target? More effectiveness at longer range? More bullets landing on certain areas of the body rather than others?
Will you share their secrets?

There is prolly 70% Training & knowledge coupled with 30% natural "skill". Meaning age, reflexes, fittness, etc
I think the basics of being a good shooter can be trained fast. But to find out in which situations which skills of you sould be applied is more difficult.
The real secret of a successful shooter is the positioning. As mentioned before taking well thought out cover is THE key in winning engagements even against 2 or 3 people. For your visual pleasure I will show you 2 of the best cover objects on Camp:
Example 1: Dragon Teeth
Example 2: Trash Box
These cover objects will provide you with a big amount of cover while showing very few to your enemy. People approaching you will have a very hard time killing you with direct fire.

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !
What is the correct form for longest distance? Jump right before throw? I think I've seen people move forward and jump, but that might just be the visual.

Oh Lyramion,
Are you the devious person/machine responsible for the inane tags that Whiskey complains furiously about?
Also, is a meter in game about the same as a meter in real life?
