Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !

Lyra, you've said that your kits are preloaded with the Otus. I assume you usually bring this when you are a squad member. What is your reasoning for this? I've never decided on what the best SL item to bring is when I'm a squad member.

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !

May your SL needs to pick up your kit and it´s not hurting you to put that otus in the slot even if your not using it.
You can for example even deploy a beacon as SL and than switch kits to one with an Otus and event hen switch to one witch has spanky and use both drones at the same time with an active beacon.

My General direction is: Beacon on Armor and Titan maps - Otus for the rest

No, wait, those are often revivable. I think distance is a good gauge for the real reason but not the determining factor.
Again, depends where the kit lands. It's possible the body is still revivable if they land near someone else's kit.

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !

It´s about the damage thats done to the body. If it goes above a set marker you die from the shot. Thats whe you get instakilled from AT weapons

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !

Lrya can you clear this up please?

Correct me if I am wrong but when you are alive you have 100 hp's and when you die your body has 300(numbers may be wrong) so if you lose 400 or more hitpoints from something you are unrevivable.

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !

That´s about right.

The Pilum is noted as 400HP damage. Why would that matter? There are servers with a partial Friendly Fire - like 30%. So you would need multiple knifes to kill someone and a pilum wouldn´t instakill a teammate

Oh lyra,

When the game tips say that the walker vents are vulnerable to all weapon fire... How well do bullets work for this?

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !

my squad did the vent shot thing a few nights ago, a few times, and its really funny to get WTFPWNT by a squad with voss's shooting at an armored vehicle =)

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !

My buddy and I were at Harbor flag on Camp Gib a long time ago and there was a walker trying to defend the flag. We both said "F it" and ran up under it and unloaded all of both our clips into the underside while the top spun around wildly to try and find out where it was getting damaged from. Then it exploded. It only takes two Voss clips to critically wound a walker.

Wrong. 2 Voss clips take off about 60 health. If you push rockets in after you can kill it tho. All seen in the video I created a while ago:

In real action I have gone over to unload my 4 Rockets FIRST, doing 20 damage to see if the Gunner will hop out. If the Gunner hops out I still have my full Voss clip to kill him. If you first use your Voss clip then you might have trouble finishing a Gunner quick.

If you actually catch the Gunner and he is an Engineer: Steal his kit and JACKPOT!

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !

So each rocket does 5 damage on the underside?

I would've thought it would not be much since rockets are not really effective at under 20 metres...right?
