Anyway, when in a Tiger tank, your best bet is to be reversing while keeping your frontal armor presented at all times, and aim towards the side/back of the Neko as it s swings around to get behind you. Either way, if you can force the other tank to only be able to hit your front while you hit their side, you will definitely win.

Also: If you are facing a very good Nekomata pilot, and he takes out your tank, if you've gotten at least one side shot on it, remember that you can pop out before the killing shot and use the blown-out tank husk as cover to Pilum/default AV him in the side /back and kill him too.

Possibly whichever vehicle gets registered by the netcode as making contact first

Not possible, the game isn't capable of registering Lyra being knifed.
