Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !
Oracle, if I were to take my FAV for a Sunday drive in Belgrade, which side of the road is it legal to drive on?

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !
Hey Lyra,
I have chosen to play with the accipiter SL unlock a few times. Though it shows that it is active I have only seen it fire a few times when people are far away. I have never seen it fire at people close range or for what it specifically says on it's info pad when you select it in game "great for watching the squads back". Is this unlock meant for harrassing an enemy or am I doing something wrong?

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !
Can't be bothered to quote it but...
In the words of the oracle:
What would you rather bring to a war?
X-ray goggles?
or
A frisbee carrying a garden hose?

Thought I'd post here instead of further de-rail the other thread:

Wow, awesome.
Doesn't it also have a bigger range than the Otus, though? Also, does the otus get every enemy within a particular radius of its position, or only some/most of them?

You probably need some NetBat love in your squad.
Try having a squad member with the Recon helmet. I think it helps the accipiter pick targets.

No stop spreading lies. Somewhere deep in this topic I already explained it but I will do it again.
There is a "secret" Netbat ability. It doesn´t show on a ranked server. But on an unranked server when you stare at an enemy for around 2 seconds the enemy will start blinking red on your minimap as if someone spotted him!
Onto this netbat the accipiter locks on. So to make it shoot at something you need to STARE at an enemy for around 2 seconds. No pulsemeter or netbat helmets will help in this.

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !
Essentially Spanky is only good for shooting at things that you are directly looking at, making it all but useless except for those select few SLs that like to go support with the Ganz or LMGs, where you stay scoped on a target (or usually multiple targets) for a good 5-6 seconds until you overheat. Spanky rarely outright kills targets, but, the way I see it, the more lead is flying in their direction, the more likely it is that they will get hit by it, making managing many targets with the HMG that much easier.

Re: The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !
The "starenetbat" isn´t limited to the SL. theoretically you could have a Sniper SM on a hill staring down things for the Accipiter.
It´s all just highly unpractical and the effectiveness questionable.

That's pretty much what it comes down to at the end of the day for the lesser-used unlocks such as the pulse meter, accipiter, shield, smoke radar nade, etc. There is a reason you typically see rockets defibs for assault and ids + emp nades (or sentry if there is no armor). It's because they are the most effective and useful in the most amount of situations.
