Random question:

Do you know if there's a maximum range on projectiles?

It seems most ammunition has realistic drop and effective range, but
what about pilums, tanks, sniper rifles, rorche, etc. Could you get a lucky
shot and nail someone from all the way across a large map?

There really aren´t too many populated NS servers around anymore. Here is a list of all currently populated ones:

Unknown to me. The max range of unzoomed rockets was found around 480 meters tho. Would need more tests for the other weapons.

Silly Silly man !

The deviation is simple. The closer you are to the material the worse it will get.

Shooting people on lower floor on central camp from upstairs often takes a full clip. Shooting people above from below you usually have a really good chance of killing them.

You should check out FLOTS and Full Contact Wars Northern Strike servers. I believe both actually have friendly fire on, so it definitely cuts down on the RDX nubs.

The answer might be quite shocking but still logical. The worse your Medics are the better a beacon is.

When for example Mr Zho with a full train of 3rd attacks a flag he would damage his tactical movements and options by ever thinking about a beacon

But when Mr Silver is educating a bunch of new people in the afternoon and attacking a flag he is very well advised to make use of a beacon.

BONUS Q & A:

Q: Dear Lyra, I heard you are a huge Grenade wench. Can you give me a secret trick?

A: There is a nice little Grenade trick on Camp G that´s especially awesome for defending Central Camp.

In the Camp G geometry there are little holes all over. You can manage to fiddle in a Grenade there to hit people passing below:

This also works on Shingles Columns since it uses the same blocks.

... some mean fellow might even think of using them to throw Grenades from downstairs to upstrairs

You go prone and toss the grenade right in the little gap. Pull back quick tho since some of your Soldiers parts might pop out on the other side.

When you use another soldier your SM thing won´t automatically cover it. You need to find out its PID just like you did with the first one and change it over into your profile.

The SM script will pick up the new PID in around 1-10 minutes.

A little "trick" if you want to switch soldiers sometimes is to enter the 2nd PID into another profile game field you don´t use. Like I have the second soldier PID entered into the Armed Assault field. So I can switch them around quickly.
