The Oracle: Ask Lyra A Question !

This topic is simple!

Ask me a simple question about 2142 and recieve an answer in 24 or less hours !

Because A lot of guys are shy here I will start out asking myself a question:

Q: Dear Lyra, can you give me any tips on how to improve my K/D ?

A: A simple thing many people forget is to take cover. There are lots of boxes in the game that have about the right hight to shoot over but also crouch back quickly behind them.

Use those boxes to take cover and lure the enemy into trying to shoot you. Then pop up quickly and hit them while they pause their fire or fired long enough to make their shots inaccurate.

Dear Grandpa Lyra. Is it true that you scream like a girl if i throw EMP-Nades at you?
( srsly.. is that a good way to put you out of a location? like if i want to pass the road and your are covering it? So i just throw nades in your way and you start to run away? )

When a Walker crew is REALLY good and has the support from their team there is basically no way to really kill them. In the most skilled game 2 Walkers will just stay alive endlessly and slap at each other from a far while always retreating when taking a dent.

That being said EMP Grenades are the best Counter vs a Walker. If you throw them from a far I will usually run away because I know a competent EMPer is around. If I am EMP locked I yell at the Squad as hard as I can

Once in a Scrim me and Darksteel also bumrushed an enemy Walker with a Buggy on Tunis. Support and Recon - we drove around and Darksteel tossed 2 EMP grenades at it from under its feet while I planted RDX on it. Couldnt believe that worked but was awesome!

Dear Lyra,

It may just be me, but sometimes when EMP locking a threat, I get autoswitched to my turret or frags, is there anyway to circumvent this?

Do you have unlocked the 3rd Grenade Unlock yet? It will make you reload your EMP Grenades just a tad faster to close the gap. If you still get switched to Sentry try throwing a little slower.

The spreads while standing might be about same - the odds a bit to the Lambert I believe. But the spread of the Lambert while moving and strafing around is far far smaller than the VOSS one.

I honestly don´t know. Maybe they think I am arrogant for making this topic.

And yes the Krylov mathematicallly is the best 1v1 Assault Rifle there is in damage output and deviation. I love it and it feels great. Your personal experiences might differ so don´t yell at me.

Yeah there actually is. The bugged beams and rockets usually occur when your Walker has been EMPd.

To get them working again I usually spin my turrent around 720° quickly. I do not know how but it somehow seems to "recalibrate" the weapons again so they do damage.
