Re: Best low-budget gaming mouse....
I've tried the Logitech and Microsoft gamer mice and by far the Razer mice are world's better. I think the MX518 is just about the same price as the Deathadder....I would go that route before Logitech...personal preference on my part. I returned the G9 myself and went with the Lachesis and I love it!

I have been using the same Logitech MX 518 since January 2007. I used it intensively for gaming and still works fine.

Re: Best low-budget gaming mouse....
Most of the best mice are 50 dollars or less. The mices Barry linked are some excellent choices. Check out the Razer mices as well. Look on newegg.com to compare (I know it is a US site but you can use it for reviews and such).

MX518 is the one I have used for almost 2 years, well worth the cost and very good gaming ouse. Adjustable DPI, Multiple buttons, etc.

Re: Best low-budget gaming mouse....
I've used the MX518 since it first hit the shelves, it's still performing great and I've never had a complaint.

10 doller optical wired two button and roller mouse from wal-mart. Extremely light, which is what I love it for, meaning.. it doesn't feel like i'm dragging a brick every time i try to whirl around with Zho shooting me with the shotgun. Which can get messy. Plus it's simple.. and it feels nice in the hand.

Re: Best low-budget gaming mouse....
My MX518 has lost its logo due to use. It works fine for years.
I would say you have to feel a mouse to find what you like. Abstinence does not work. Try a couple and pay attention to weight, button placement and feel in the hand.Gigabyte P35-DS3R, 2GB, 8800GTS 640MB, Core2Duo E8400
