Re: 3rd SFD Presents: Scrim Impressions?

Sounds like everybody had a great time. Do the 3rd plan on putting these custom scrims on more frequently? Could fill the TG2142 calender quite nicely.

The 3rd always has evil plans brewing

I'm glad ya'll enjoyed the scrim. It was refreshing and different, and we're glad so many of you turned out for it. Thank you!

It was a lot of fun. I don't know why I kept lagging out so bad but I really enjoyed the map. It's nice to play something new and different.

Re: 3rd SFD Presents: Scrim Impressions?

Looking back, I fared better in the 2nd round with the shotgun. Randomly shooting into the tall grass worked better than with the Voss. Although my penchance for teamkilling with grenades and shotty continued. I also enjoyed the sentry, and got a few kills due to it being nearly totally invisible under the cover of the grass. Would like to have tried 4-5 sentries covering the top of the hills between flags. Overall good fun, and the lag seems to have been experienced by most if not all, so no advantage / disadvantage from my point of view.

Sorry I had to bug out early. I had to go somewhere at 6 and I thought we would be done by then.

Anyway, the one round I played was fun. I hope we can do this again sometime, but with a different map. The PAC team seemed to have an advantage with their dark colored armor. I also think that the lag was because of all the objects that map has in it, like all the pieces of vegetation it has to load. For next time, I vote for a map like fusion valley or severnaya.

Other than Fehmart and his evil RDX, and the fact I seemed to get broadsided by Meatwad and his shotgun every 4 seconds, I found it to be quite fun. It was all kind of Belgrade'ish, which is my favourite map. A tad big, though. Perhaps with more people the rounds on that map would be more interesting.
