On the first round, it was great, I became almost a ninja and was good at hiding. Coordination was great as well. We worked well as a squad (Zho's squad) and worked well as a team.

The second round, I don't think I was ever more confused in my BF 2142 life. All I saw was red diamonds moving through the trees and grass. Nonetheless we still were able to work as a team which was gratifying

Oh and my favorite moment(s) were when Zhohar would get lost either on foot or on the buggy and make us anywhere but the objective

Many thanks to my 3rd brothers for setting this up and thanks again to all who participated.

EDIT: Here was the scores for the first round when I actually knew what was going around me.
EDIT again: screenshot came out too blurry in jpeg.

It was really fun and confusing when your on Pac side you are invisible in the map but for Eu you stick out like sore thumb. The only thing i hate about the map was the time loop when driving a vehicle.

Now I wished I had taken some comm seat screens... :/

I'd say it went well. I think the map is more designed for 64 players than the amount we had though. It's very wide open, and it makes it more like a game of whack-a-mole compared with defensive maps.

Although I think they should have left Orbital Strikes and EMP in, to clear out patches of forest that were heavily infested. The lack of UAV and Sat-Track was ok though.

The map is Awesome and we were a bunch of very good players so all that can make is awesome matchs ! Our team was a little disorganised at the first round tho, maybe the stress you know ^^

Great job to the Pie team who won both rounds ! Thanks to Zho and Reaper for organising this ! My only regret is that we did not won the last round... cuz I really wanted to do one more round

Anyway Thanks again ! Alots of fun !

I had a lot of fun; it was good to get back in the groove, though I'm sure that my schizophrenic orders at times didn't help matters. The extremely close range fighting was definitely interesting. Observation devices (Otus and IDS, primarily) and their counter (Ghost decoy) were quite helpful. Armor was not terribly useful in those thick woods.

I really wasn't keen on all the wait before and betwseen the matches, but to some degree one needs to expect that with something like this.

This map absolutely totally was about minimap for me. I would aim based on minimap because I could not see where the baddie was coming from. I also found I started doing better in the first round when I switched from rockets to shotgun on my voss.

Swcond round I got a little more familiar with the map and was able to use my clark and IDS. Sentry gun didn't do too bad on that map either. It wasn't affected by the grass like I was.

Both rounds I was in good squads with good folks, and enjoyed the map immensely. I'd do it again

The fighting in grass concept was fun, but would be better on a smaller map- perhaps we could play this map, but only use some of the flags? I know that there's no smaller version of the map, so we could just agree not to capture certain flags.
There was a lot of waiting time- some planning, some not. The waiting time was a bit excessive in my opinion, but it was worth it for the actual playing time.
Thanks to those responsible for setting it up; I enjoyed taking part in my first scrim.

It was great. Trying out a new map, even though it was hard to see the enemy, was excellent. Good squad play, even though Zho kept getting lost!

My thanks also go out to Reaper & Zhohar & the entire 3rd for hosting this event.

Intense close quarters in the woods, that's what i remember! And that the IDS was pretty handy.

The map was huge and there were actually a flag or two i never got to see.

Good job everyone! And thanks to the 3rd for hosting!

I would have liked to enjoy it more but I lagged big time. Was fun trying to find the dead friendlies in the grass and coming across hidden enemies instead. My K/D shows how much I didn't have a chance. Sorry to my team for that.

Great map! And thanks to the 3rd! Pony Pies all the way!

Re: 3rd SFD Presents: Scrim Impressions?

the 2nd round was hectic!!!! Our team decided upon the tactical approach of mobility....if the enemy was fighting for one flag...we would swipe it as soon as they moved away!

I was caught off guard when the PAC side attacked warehouse so early...I had an inkling they would from the dry run.
However, my squad quickly shifted tactics and focused on getting church and the ammo supply dump flag.

I remember many fortunate incidences in this game none of which could not have happened without my awesome SM's!

The first was the most awesome rdx placement on the church flag from one of my SM that took out three players from a squad including the SL. I was so proud!

The other time was when I took out reaper since I knew he was a SL and by doing so, their attack was cut short on the church flag. This was helped by the fact that everybody had an ids and placed it everywhere! In the end, we moved between two of the flags that did not spawn a walker (oh Lyra!!!! you and that church flag on the 2nd round!!!)...

Our team agreed on the fact that the walker was not truly necessary for the strategies we needed for the assault. The only purpose would be to serve as a deterrence. It was very cumbersome and the limited mobility around the trees was just horrendous. The angles of the hill made firing prone soldiers almost impossible.
