Re: Battlefield 1943 this summer
I'm hoping they are using BF1943 to release a proper buy and download system like steam. Then afterwards use that system to give out BF3 or something similar. After all, all we want is a proper teamwork oriented shooter and not another failure like Frontlines.

Re: Battlefield 1943 this summer
I'd rather they made any mistakes on this and then made bf3 better for it

Re: Battlefield 1943 this summer
I don't know what anyone else thinks, but imho the whole WW2 thing has had the crap beaten out of it and then some.
And then a bit more.

Re: Battlefield 1943 this summer
I wouldnt mind it, really depends how well its done. I never played 1942 or dod that much
If they make a perfect sounding mg42 or mg34 they will have my vote especially if its priced around 10

Why do people say this? Its a good example of combined-arms warfare against an equally equipped foe. Almost all modern warfare games have to be asymmetric if they'd like to approximate realism, why not use a setting that doesn't?
edit: Fine, what setting would you like to see?

Yeah hard to tell if they really are or not, and they don't seem to use the same soldier for very long.. I tried to check, but here is what I saw:
