Resigning from 2142
Hello everyone,
So this really probably comes as no surprise, given my absence the past few months, but I might as well get it out and be done with it.
I joined TG through the 2142 servers, and conversely joined the 8th through 2142. In all my years of playing online I have never met another group of people as great as the TG community, nor have I ever met as fun a group of people to play with as my fellow brothers and sisters within the 8th.
However, over time 2142 has lost it's luster for me. Part of it is from drama that has stemmed from within the community (no, I'm not naming names, pointing fingers, or anything like that). Part of it (a large part really) stems from the lack of server stability and the inability by either EA or Wolf to conclusively diagnose and resolve the issue. Part of it is playing maps so many times that I can navigate them in my sleep. And a part of it is from the simple fact that my current lifestyle no longer affords me the time necessary to make myself a continued presence on our server - my schedule tends to have me working past the time when most people are on the server - and other games have come out that have drawn my interest towards them.
So, it's time to hang up my Baur, put my Zeller back in it's case, set the grenades and the helmet on the shelf, and wait for the next iteration of the series, if it is ever made, to come out. I am sure that when that happens I will be back in full force, rejoining everyone here for a grand old time. But until that day comes, my focus in games has shifted to other things.
This does not mean I will not stop in sometimes to play a round or two, nor does it mean that I won't play in the occasional scrim. Most importantly, it does not mean that I am leaving the TacticalGamer community. I am very loyal to this place, which welcomed me with open arms a couple years ago, and I think that most everyone here are awesome people. What it does mean is that I won't be frequenting this section of the forums very much anymore. Rather, I will be devoting the bulk of my time and energies in other directions.
I want to wish everyone here, all the regulars and new players alike, the best of luck in their continuing endeavors, wherever those may take you. I will truly miss the camaraderie that I shared with many of you - it is not something that can be replaced. I'll look in from time to time to see how everyone's faring, and I hope you'll do the same for me as I pursue galactic domination in EVE Online (Yes, I have revived a TG corp there) and the destruction of zombies in Left 4 Dead. (There may come one or two others like EndWar... we'll see)
Regards,

I'm sure I'll be seeing you in L4D every so often.
But it's been great playing with and against you in 2142. Hope to see you around, and good luck!

You will be missed especially by me

Hope to see you drop by at least once in a blue moon. At least maybe our paths will cross in either eating brains or destroying zombie hordes in Left 4 Dead

Be sure to visit us for the 1.6 Patch whenever it will come out! There might be some surprise in there ! Even tho the biggest surprise would actually be server stability
