To explain titan mode shortly, each team has one titan, which is basically a giant aircraft. These titans have shields, but these shields can be gradually destroyed by silos that can be captured, similarly to how you capture flags in Conquest mode. These silos will launch missiles every 2 minutes. Whoever's silo it is when the missile is launched from the silo, the missile goes flying into the opposing titan, damaging their shield.

After enough damage, the titan shield goes down, meaning that part of it can be boarded by the enemy. The attacking force needs to destroy 4 consoles within the titan to open up the door to the reactor core room. This, predictably, is the room with the reactor core in it. The reactor core is basically the main power source for the titan, and it can be damaged and eventually destroyed by people's weapons. Of course it's easier said than done, with a defending force fighting tooth-and-nail to protect their consoles and reactor core.

Of course when the titan shields go down it isn't essential to send an attacking force to board the titan, it is possible to stay on the ground capturing silos, since every missile silo which hits the titan after the shields are down will count as some damage to the reactor core, however this is a slower approach, while a well-coordinated attack on the titan can send it down in a few short minutes.


There is also an in-game tutorial of the Titan mode, in the Main Menu along the left-hand-side with all the different buttons above the friend-list, there should be a button that just says "TITAN", which should take you to a kind-of video demonstration of titan mode.
