    2142 mod - First Strike Star wars mod

    Does anyone play this or would like to?

    I'm going to be checking it out this weekend and more if it turns out good!

    I wanted to play this too, but I came across this thread recently (http://www.tacticalgamer.com/battlef...trike-mod.html) and it seems like populated games of FS are few and far between these days

    I tried it one time and I stumbled across a full server. It was fun for a while because of all the new things, but I didn't play again because of the lack of teamplay. Installation is a pain because you have to reinstall BF2142, install First Strike, possibly patch First Strike, then patch BF2142 (then install any other mods or maps that you previously had). I would install it again if we got a few other TGers to do it, too.

    version 1.4 looks solid. I will be trying it out this weekend at some point and i'll get on TS when i do.

    I haven't played it since it first released. I was excited for it, but it seemed very dry. It looks like its been worked on a lot since first release. So I'll give it a go again. I'll re-download it tonight.

    I installed just a couple weeks ago, and the dedicated days and nights for them is saterday and sunday, still only a hand full of bodies where online. Its a shame cause I am a star wars nerd and enjoy 2142, but after playing on TG servers for so long I find it hard to enjoy without the communication and teamwork, and lack of targets on FS servers is also a - .
    Oh yea, after installing I went to join our 2142 server and it kicked me for having modified content so I had to reinstall everything . But it would be nice to take a full squad of TG into FS and totally school those nasty rebel scum.

    Word is it requires 1.5 to run properly. I'd be willing to join you guys if this turns out to be a decent mod. It reminded me a LOT of Battlefront.

    BUMP...

    hey guys why not try out this mod on the TG 2142 server? even on a secondary server just as a trial basis?

    Over at BF2, the TG guys have fully embraced modding and got 2 different mods, one of which is full max players (62) every single night.

    surely some of you guys are interested in this star wars themed mod, and it could generate a seriously large following at TG, and who knows maybe you could even help mould the future of the mod with the developers!

    From the video it looks like it has come a long way from the first version.
