Question I want...

I want to ask you all what type of gaming headset would you recommend. I'm shopping around for one but not quite sure what to buy. I use a Logitech headset at the moment. Here is a picture of the headset I presently use. The cost is NOT an issue but it would be good not to pay a ridiculous amount for one, if I don't have to. Please post what headset you use in game or what headset you think is awesome!! Experience with the recommended headset is required Thank you all

    I use a Razer Piranha

Sounds great. The mute slider is kinda loose so I spent the first 5 rounds on TG talking to myself. When you first get it, it feel like a raptor has latched onto your head, but it loosens to be comfortable in a week or so.

    Re: I want...

I have used the razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones, they were good and I enjoyed using them. Only problem I had was that the ear cups were a bit shallow. Overall good sound quality, good spatial perception. One of the ear cups broke off, but I've had them so long the warranty had expired.

I've also used the Tritton Ax360. Again good sound quality, good spatial perception. Music sounds pretty good on the trittons also. Only reason I'm trying another headset is because my wife needs a set and I thought I would try to upgrade, otherwise I would be more than happy to stick with the trittons.

New set coming today is the Sennheiser PC 350. I read a lot of good reviews on these, of course its Sennheiser so I am expecting a very good high quality headset. I'll update my post later, UPS usually comes around 3. At the very least if I'm not happy with them, the wife should be.

I know that one you're useing. I had it too. One day it lost its sound and I bought myself a "Sennheiser".

I suggest that you keep a look out for Sennheiser. Those are some very good headsets. You wouldn't belive the differents a good headset can make. Day and night

You scared me Tina girlie, I thought this was the same topic that's in the private forums. I thought you might get banned from the site for that !!!!

I just use a generic set of headphones, nothing special, I actually have scotch tape holding the microphone in place. I have the worst time with headsets.

LOL it doesn't shock me Gato, that you would think something like that! Actually that thread was started by Shini and I just participated. Not as bad as you make it seem.. silly. Well, I thought my headset was bad but you beat me hands down.

    Re: I want...

I just bought a new headset.

    http://www.techgadgets.in/gaming/200...ne-introduced/

So far I love it. What's also odd is that it doesn't block someone talking to you like other headsets. It's also very comfy! I can't comment on it too much though as I only had it for a few hours...

I just want to say though... Logitech make crap headsets! They do good mice, but really suck at headsets, so don't get another 1!

    Re: I want...

The Sennheiser PC131 (stereo) is a good choice in the lower end spectrum of the price range, and the Razer Barracuda HP-1 (simulated 5.1 surround) is fantastic but expect to dish out more than double. Both have noise cancelling, adjustable microphones but the Barracuda is much more comfortable imo.

Quality is amazing despite the fact it's wireless. If possible try to have the USB dongle in a place where you can see the LED. The low battery indicator is on the dongle. The mic I use in game and on TS is this one.

I found the ear cups to be quite small on these but maybe I just have a big head/ears or something.

I use medusa and love them. They are very comfortable and the surround is a plus.

I'm with Big-Eye on this one. I have a Steinheiser PC350 and its the best thing I have owned headset wise. It isn't us and it has great sound quality.

I would advise to send on at least mid range equipement that has comfortable padded ear rests, for those hours & hours of gaming

I've played a few rounds with these so far and I think they are really good. Without a doubt they are the most comfortable headset I have owned. Mic seems good also, everyone could hear me fine. On/off button for the mic and volume control are in-line, which is always a plus. As far as spatial awareness is concerned, I think they are equivalent to the razer and tritton. I've only gotten a few rounds in but I didn't feel as though I couldn't distinguish where people where coming from. When listening to music, the Sennheiser rocks, absolutely the best out of the three for listening to music. Overall I would give them an A. Trittons an A- (pretty good in-game, not so much with music) and Razers a B+ (don't get wrong, very good headset, just not as good as the other two). IMO anyway.
