People interest me. Interesting people really excite me, especially in the Marine Corps. there is so many different people, you really feel more human knowing how much people are into various things, and then you learn quite a few things from one another. I remember seeing a post like this maybe around the PR side of TG, but they are always good fun!

So besides BF2142 and work, what else do you like to do? What are your hobbies and what would you call some good fun? Whether it's a one time deal or something you do every week end, put it out there.

I guess I go first! My ultimate favorite thing to do is procrastinate! I love doing nothing, just sitting around the porch admiring all the busy people in the world who must do something, when I can enjoy myself because I have a choice and I rather not

. (I guess that is doing something, relaxing) I love playing Monopoly and Risk on Thursdays with the gang and going out and playing random drinking games at bar off base.
But, nothing is better than going on unsuccessful dates all the time, I am pretty sure I do it to myself because deep down I get enjoyment out of it :P. When I am home I love going to NYC or Boston and do really nothing but wander around. Lastly, I love making things out of wood, I wish I had more time to finish this sweet bookshelf I was working on though! Badminton! Hiking out in the woods, setting up a little fire, and splashing around in the water rocks!
I'm not too interesting, I know, but I need a new hobby!

Well, I love to go paintballing, but I don't have the opportunity to much. I am my school's point guard on the Basketball team, and I tried to be on the Golf team, but I don't have time. Besides school, I play trumpet and attend a few youth groups. Other than those, I do not do much at all. I have a busy week. I will have to see what I am doing over the summer.

Well I love music. I play over ten instruments and my life consists of school, music, and videogames. I usually play my instruments for 2-3 hours a day. i do all sorts of stuff, marching band, musicals, orchestras, jazz bands, and wind symphonies. I'm even in a small rock band. I read quite a bit, right now I'm munching through some philosophy.

I'm not too athletic anymore after a sports injury stopped me from playing for a year, but I love to kayak and rock climb.

Well for me I love going bowling and playing tennis. I read a lot of science fiction novels favorite being the Battletech/Mechwarrior series. I go out with friends and see movies all the time. I also like going paintballing as well, but I rarely go. I love to take walks or ride my bike around town.

Edit* Forgot some things. Love listening to music, pretty much any genre besides most rap and country. On my iTunes I have groups ranging from a professional a cappella choir to heavy metal bands. I also sing in choirs. At this time I am in the University's "Chorale" which is the top choir at the college I'm attending. I also play Alto Saxophone, though I havn't played it in a while.

Nothing too fancy, but it works for me.

Computer gaming has always been a hobby of mine (well...since computers have been available, anyway). TG 2142 has been the most rewarding gaming experience to date, so you guys get top billing on my hobby list.

I live in Durango, CO and cycling takes the #2 spot on my list. I love riding my mountain bike through all the amazing trails in Colorado (and elsewhere, like Utah, when I can).

Beer: Drinking and brewing. I am blessed to live in the micro-brew state (if it's not official...it should be). My wife also has an awesome
job at Ska Brewing www.skabrewing.com. I love it all, but am partial to hoppy ales. Not a beer snob though...my two favorite kinds of beer are still #1: Free #2: Cold.

Other hobbies that I love but don't spend enough time on:

Guitar: acoustic, electric, reggae, ska, punk, country...it's all good.

4x4: Love loading up our Toyota with the wife, dog and fishing pole and heading up into the mountains.

Martial Arts: I haven't been involved in a while, but had fun with Tae Kwon Do and some Okinawan Karate in the past.

Reading: Sci Fi/Fantasy mostly, but enjoy other fiction. Some favorite authors- Stephenson, Gaiman, Card, Vonnegut, Herbert, Tolkien

Anime: Big fan of Miyazaki's stuff (spirited away, princess mononoke, nausicaa, etc) but also like a wide variety of other styles. Akira, Tekkon Kinkreet, Ghost ITS, as well as some shonen.

I like to game, to read and to laze around with friends. Some sports interest me, but I've never got into them at a competetive level. I guess swimming is my favourite sport, followed by badminton and basketball. I like listening to music (all sorts), but haven't played an instrument for around five or six years (though I may take it up again at some point).

One of the things that really interests me in a nerdy, back-away-slowly sort of way is physics. I just find it really interesting and like reading about different parts of physics both from books and the internet (Wikipedia is a real time-stealer for this). I'm also fairly interested in chemistry and history.

School takes up most of my life at the moment, with my GCSEs coming up soon, but hopefully in the summer I'll be free to pursue other fields of interest.

What does FLIP like to do besides TG and procrastinate as well..hmm

I love sports for starters. I love watching UFC (I love martial arts been doing Taekwondo for 3 years and Goju Ryu Karate for 6), I love playing and watching soccer, I love badminton as well. I also enjoy being outside when the weather is nice.

Reading books and listening to music is also one of my favorite pastimes. I enjoy reading books in English (namely sci-fi) and in Russian (my home language, got lots of great writers to choose from). Music involves classic rock, some modern stuff and Russian rock.

And last but not least...video games. Been gaming since age of 6 and don't ever see myself ever stopping, even when I turn 65+.

Seems that BF2142 on TG-server takes most of my free evening time at the moment. That´s all good. Haven´t played on this kind of community in ages. So congrats to averyone who´s involved!

The other favored passtime is listening to music. Ranging from progressive rock and jazz to folkmetal and some heavier metal stuff. And some traditional folk as well.

Used to do historical fencing (longswords etc.) for some three previous years, but don´t have the time nor the money for it right now...

Some of my evening time goes to organizing events for university students from the faculty of art. As I´m in the student´s board this year (studying medieval history at the moment myself).

I mainly like to relax really and most of my hobbies are in union with doin' nothing. I love just hanging back in my chair, listening to music and chatting with friends for example. When it's nice weather with a good temperature however, I move my lazyness outside and just lay in the sun along with music and friends.

For sports I like a couple of sports, like biking along with my dad, soccer with my friends, or going to Wing Chun training, which is a martial art I practice. I love it, but I'm not that fanatic and I don't do it competitively either.

Apart from all that, I just like noodles.

I enjoy a variety of stuff I have played the violin for 6ish years and am in two orchestras (Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra and Reading High School Strings Orchestra) In the RSYO I am first chair second violins and in the RHS orchestra I play both second and first violin(but not at the same time

) and am the soloist when we need one.

I also love sports and am on two different volleyball teams, niether of which are very good :P but were getting better!

Other then that I enjoy nothing more then laying down with a good book or sitting in front of my computer endless hours playing BF2142 and random other stuff.....what esle....I work at a greenhouse 2 days a week...I hunt during hunting season....I love winter! (and am mad that it is spring and I didn't get more like 2 inches of snow this past one

)....and thats about it

I studied Goju Ryu for over a year and loved it, I learned general "no style" sport karate for 5 years before switching. Moved out of the city or else I'd still be learning it.

Not much to report here on hobbies, most of my time is video games (BF2124, L4D mostly) and studying (studying human nutrition). I'd love to play paintball as a hobby, been out a couple times just can't justify the money investment.

I used to play the guitar, but haven't picked one up in over two years, lost the interest and the free time, maybe one day I'll pick it up again. I enjoy reading, but I'll typically only read during my summer breaks, I get enough of it through textbooks to occupy me. Mostly I read fantasy, though I enjoy non-fiction (last book I read was "what ever you do don't run") which I would recommend to anyone who is interested in wildlife or Africa.
