Haha, interesting but some computers won't be able to handle that. As for the game handling it you would have to expect a bunch of bugs.
Even getting past that, I agree with Kyle XD

Recon:
4x zoom should come standard for snipers. Honestly, an unlock for that is just silly. The zoom unlock would do something more interesting, like automatically generating diamonds and dots on enemy targets when zoomed.
The stabilizer is also a silly unlock, considering you're pretty much unlocking the ability to hold your breath. It should be something more useful, like a lead indicator to calculate where you have to shoot to hit those distant targets.
And the Zeller should 1-shot light infantry for chest shots and do more damage to FAVs. The starting rifles should fire a little bit faster.
I also think the Recon should get some kind of slot 4 teamwork item. I wouldn't know what it would be, though.
Support:
-The Clark RDX could use a boost. Maybe impact-detonate beyond 20 meters? Or switch it out with the AR rockets, to reduce the absolute domination of the assault kit in infantry maps.
I'd also change how the machine guns perform. I'd either:
-Increase damage to match the assault rifles
-Make accuracy automatically reduce after scoping, so you don't have to waste 3 shots to actually hit your target.
-Have heat levels instantly reduce when you overheat, but prevent firing until after the heat level has reduced to 50%. This would make overheating much less annoying.
Engineer:
The Engineer's AV weapons could also use some balancing I think. In particular
-Pilum should do much less damage to front armor, with more accuracy. Maybe some kind of bullet drop, too.
-The SAAW shouldn't drop like a stone when not locked in. What's up with that?

- One I came up with a while ago: Self-destruct option for vehicles!
For those moments you're on 20 armor and know there'll be another Pilum/tank shell etc on it's way soon and you'd prefer not to die OR let them steal your vehicle. With the added bonus of this becoming very interesting if they DO steal it within... 6 second timer say?
- One I randomly just thought of recently and I could certainly see in BF2142 as it would kind of suit the future, courtesy of MGS: Bullet Fun
Lasts 5 seconds or something and then charges. Kind of like the vehicles' shields but for the infantry
Not sure for which kit though, not sniper, they sneak past or fire at a distace, and medics are good enough already. I was thinking support but I would imagine: that + a shotgun = dead enemies. So engies could have it; stops them being as much of a target against inf. and they can get their own back on vehicles using their shields lol.
The thought I find funny is that you'd think whoever runs in first would use this; but imagine if his squad is following closely: every bullet aimed at the leader hits everyone else BUT him until he's the only one left standing amongst friendly dead bodies...and then his Magnetic Interferance -Safe- Shield (MI-S-S)*clicks*
EDIT: Engies could have her gun too.

MrJengles the way you worded that it's impossible to tell that you're talking about Fortune from MGS2. :P
I still think the best mod that could be done for BF2142 would be something that fixes the stupid bugs, makes NetBat more of a factor, and turns BF2142 into something similar to hardcore mode on CoD4&5, no HUD, no minimap.
