    Bf2142

Is it enjoyable? If I am coming from arma, should I get it? You guys seem to always have a nearly full ts chanel and seem to have a good time. So my question is: Is it worth it to buy it?

Well, I think its about $15-$20 at retail now, so I think its great value for money.

The people are top notch, the game itself tends to be fast paced and intense. The 2142 squad system (and the script enforced server rule to join a squad) make for excellent teamwork. And there's always a few of your fellow Pirates kicking about, which can only add to the fun. During prime-time the server is well over half tagged TG people, so you know everyone is going to be teamwork oriented, mature and friendly.

It is definitely more faster paced than Arma but doesn't mean its less fun...22nd century teamwork is still teamwork

I also recommend getting it with Northern Strike booster pack as it has some good maps and extra unlockable goodies.

I am a bit accustomed to the super slow pace of arma, I tried to play PR but it came on a bit fast, to many enemies. This looks like a good relaxing game.

This is very wrong. Infantry maps can be absolute break-neck speed battles!!!
We wouldn't trade it for the world and we would love to have you on, but, if you thought PR was too fast.....this is even quicker!!!

People have been playing this game for years, which is a testament to how good this game really is, and get the "Deluxe edition" it includes northern strike.

Yeah this is like... mmm Arcade Action Teamwork ADD kill die Strategy game - and I love it.

Much to know and much to learn. very deep. But nothing like mmm.... patrolling an Area for 15 minutes. Most BF2142 ppl find PR like 400% too slow if that is a hint lol

I really enjoy the game, but it is fast paced. On infantry maps, sometimes you don't even have time to think! Or stay alive. :|

I hope you enjoy it, but if not I understand.

    Re: Bf2142

What I would recommend is learning the quiet points in the map and acclimatize yourself that way. If you see me on the server then send me a request over Team Speak and you can join my squad, I'll take the time to go through each map with you and show you the favorite flags that get "back-capped". It's a quieter game: watching and waiting for a 'jeep' to break-through and sure it may get dicey for a little while if a whole squad spawns in on the squad leader but I think it would be the best way to ease you into the 2142 style of play.

I hope you take the plunge mate and I'll be looking out for you
