    ATTENTION: Punkbuster dislikes FRAPS atm

    Punkbuster f up a little. Now using certain FRAPs versions will lead to:

    Punkbuster kick restriction corrupted file/memory [120148]


    If you have those errors turn fraps off till PB solved the issue.

    In this thread, Evenbalance tells DrunkenPirate that only older versions than the newest of FRAPS will cause the issue.

    Forced me to uninstall whole 2142, until I tried turning off background programs and found out that some of them was causing this -> fraps!

    wonder if FRAPS made a deal with PB to cut down on pirating of their software. It would be a good idea, use PB to check if you have the newest copy of FRAPS.

    I can confirm that the newest version of fraps is working just fine. I recording an entire earlier today. Forgot how many gigs it takes, ended up being a total of 40 gig.

    The only difference I notice is my screen rate drops to the fraps recording rate, so visually it's not as smooth at 30fps compared to the normal 100, but not a big problem

    same here. I haven't turned down any setting yet, so I may do that in order to record at a better frame rate. Hey Lyra and Silver, what setting seems to give the best jump in fps while recording?
