Large scale warfare on display this Thursday
This coming thursday(5-7) I'm going to try something different. The server will be run with 64 players and play large scale maps that are appropriate for that player count. Those being:
Suez 64
Sidi 64
Belgrade 64
Highway Tampa 64
Shuhia 64
Shingle 64
Verdun 64
Minsk 64(If this one gets played it will be to challenge a team that just won big
)
All of the other maps you are used to playing don't work well with that large a player count so they will not be played except after crashes or other times where we need to rebuild population. I will be around most of the day and along with the other admins we will do our best to proactively manage the rotation so the loaded map is right for the amount of players on the server.
So start thinking big. These large and more dynamic battles will have a feel more like the classic BF title. Commanders will be paramount and will have a lot to manage. Lets see some impressive coordinated assaults involving massive armor and gunship/transport support. Should be plenty of new experiences to be had and I hope everyone enjoys the change of pace.|TG-12th|mantis

Awesome!
Can we have a CCQ day after then also?
Where Commanders are useless, Rockets and Nades are plenty! (ha!)

So we'll be looking at 30 vs 30? 62 total after the SM script, and 2 COs.
It'll be fun to play big rounds like that. I'll be on as soon as I get back from class that night.
