Question to video makers
I don't have any special software or anything, so I tried using Windows Movie Maker. When I put BR files into it though, the quality (which is pretty decent) of them turn terrible. I assume it's because Movie Maker isn't exactly the best software :P. So my question to you is what do you use to make & edit your videos?

Re: Question to video makers
I used the WeGame video client to capture video from Battlerecorder. I then used Windows Movie Maker to edit.

Re: Question to video makers
I use 2 different editing programs. For general, quicky, editing I use A nero program. For good looking stuff, I use Adobe Premier. I've used WMM before and it's actually able to produce good quality AVIs. You ought to be able to change the output format to get the desired quality.

Re: Question to video makers
Ah, I was gonna get around to some editing. I have 2 clips from ages ago where one was something interesting but short + unedited, and 1 that was just me testing what I could do with relatively uninteresing 1 min footage or something. I used Windows Movie Maker for that and it came out ok, could of been better.
Anyway...as I was saying I have just started looking into free alternatives for recording and editing to find out what was best, sorry I can't help Inferno, it could have been simple but unfortunately I came across a problem for my new computer: the audio recording feature isn't there. I've read up and it appears sound card company's have had pressure to remove it, so some have, and others like Creative have just hidden it and its easy to find if you know where. But I don't have a Creative sound card so immah a bit screwed.
Currently looking into a sound recorder program that records from the programs individually and not directly from the computer or some-such
And a virtual sound card which isn't working yet :S
If anyone could point me in the right direction for this problem it would be appreciated.Last edited by MrJengles; 05-07-2009 at 07:14 PM.

Re: Question to video makers
I capture the BR video with FRAPS. Then I use WMM to edit. I save them as 720p so I can upload them to YouTube for HQ (&fmt=22)

Re: Question to video makers
Cap with FRAPS, use Adobe to Edit then DivX Converter to Convert. Of course I also learned to use that software.
The "ugly" thing you see is indeed your output format. Liek cooling said try putting it out to 720p to get better results in WMM

Re: Question to video makers
I record with fraps (costs) or wegame (free)
edit in sony vegas (costs)
maybe convert to h.264 mp4 with mediacoder (free)
upload to youtube at res 1280*720 for the widescreen

Re: Question to video makers
My windows movie maker crashes like crazy after nearly every edit, and I haven't found another free solution yet. I've tried VideoGlue, but it's..... not for me. I need something good, as WWM is driving me nuts!!!!
