Mondays and Fridays

Recently you have seen the admin team running some events where the rotation is completely different from the norm. The point behind this is we are trying to break up the monotony of our past play. Our 48 player setup works well and will remain the mainstay. However 2142 offers quite a bit more and we want to start highlighting that again. In the long run the increase in variety should keep players interested longer and increase gameplay quality as players expand their tactical playbooks.

Since two of these events have proved highly successful we are going to implement them on a weekly basis. Every Friday we will run the server at 64 players with large maps only. Also every Monday we will run the no vehicle setup with a slightly reduced player count. Monday and Friday were chosen simply based on how active the nights typically are when thinking about the player count the server will be running at it. Both of these will be day long events so everyone has a chance to experience them.

With the 64 player setup you get to experience new map versions, maps historically not played(Tampa, Minsk) and in general the battle feels bigger/different. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels less important with so many players on these big maps. More open, more freedom to experiment or craft a role, and certainly the opportunity to develop your armor tactics/skills.

With the no vehicle night again you get a different map experience, some new map versions as some 16 player maps are used and with a slightly lower player count we are hoping to make things a tad more intimate and less fraggy.

Changing the server over for these days will require admin intervention and I can't guarantee we won't be asleep on the job one day. If we forget, track us down and we will switch it over asap. Otherwise we hope you enjoy the new experiences that await on these days.

I like this. I will try to hit up the server around those times. I will probably get rocked hard during the Friday ones, but it will be a blast.

Sounds like fun. Now we just need Autobalance-Off-Wednesdays so we can make the teams even again!

You can still make it even! Just quit the server and reload 20 times to get on the team you need to be on! Only way to prevent more "I´m disappointed" and "Teamstacking" topics! You can do it! The heart of the cards will help you!

I was commanding on EU yesterday and EVERYONE (except a few) got Punkbusted at the same time. I rejoined on PAC but I was commanding EU! I tried this ^ several times, but tickets ended the game, and I never got back to my command post. ;(
