Re: The Big Game!
I have no problem with people complaining about teamstacking. What I have a problem with, and have blasted in other threads is people complaining about teamstacking when no teamstacking took place.
Also note I'm not accusing anyone of intentional teamstacking. I'm just asking people to be aware of what the other team looks like. The game doesn't take people's skill levels into account when it assigns them to a team. It just adds them to the team with the lower number of players. So it is easily possible for the teams to be significantly uneven without anyone's intent. We ALL need to pay attention and when this has happened, do something about it.

Re: The Big Game!
Just so we're clear.. you're saying that I, Crux, am a teamstacker? You've seen me switch teams to get on the winning side, to make the teams uneven and to create an unfair playing environment? And you, noble Kelvin, are just trying to expose me to the community for the fraud that I am?
I just want to make sure I'm understanding you correctly.

Re: The Big Game!
First off...
SPORTSMANSHIP ROCKS ! I enjoyed the anecdote and I think it should be mandatory reading for all new TG members since not all TG members understand what Sportsmanship is all about, and WHY its so crucial to the continued growth and success of TG. I am a 'staunch' advocate of sportsmanship and thats one of the reasons Crux holds a very large measure of my respect.
Secondly ...
I am a former member of the 3rd and I have visited the super secret forums of the 3rd and what I am about to reveal to you may in fact end up costing me my life ...
Everything Crux stated is entirely accurate and I can state uncategorically that there is NO secret agenda within the 3rd.
There are no death camps
There are no dreams of world domination
There are only pink ponies
Kelvin, I sent you a PM regarding a post you made about a post I made. I could have posted in the thread ( o wait I guess they locked it so I cant ) but instead I politely informed you in private that you didnt need to spank me in public.
There was a thread I saw recently about maturity .. did you happen to read that one ?
Crux is one of the main reasons Martha is a member of TG (so is Eroak)
I was in the squad Crux was leading when he bailed for the other team to even the balance ( about a week ago ) - check the server logs for the proof you seek
Crux and I have had long conversations about 'pulling back from an objective' ( Crux's term ) or 'gaming to the level of the server' ( Martha's term ) and I even described my 'gaming modes' to Crux - about how 'match style' play will kill the server - about how the 3rd is just too talented to play 'fullspeed' with a server full of noobs - about how as an admin I worked to ensure everyone was having fun and wanted to return to the server
So you see Kelvin - Crux has put an exceptional amount of thought, energy, blood, sweat and tears into making TG the best dam place to game - Period
For crying out loud ... have a look at the end of his posts and you will see no less than eight ( 8 ) links to information he is diseminating to the WORLD in an attempt to HELP them learn so they might improve their skills.
.. how many links are at the end of your posts ?
.. what have you done to help the TG community today ?
.. can you point at a solution or just the problem ?
Here's a big one for you that might be new to you ..
.. have you considered the consequences of your actions ?
These are questions you may wish to ponder before posting - to put it another way - suppose your post was the last straw and now Crux has decided he no longer wishes to VOLUNTEER his time .. that he no longer feels it worthwhile to try and contribute and that he is merely casting pearls before swine ?
Gee wouldnt that be an accomplishment ?

Re: The Big Game!
Ok so once again for all of the late comers...
Intentional teamstacking is bad.
You can report anything that does not coincide with the rules at TG.
I think that pretty much sums it up, no?
FYI. I truly wish people would stop attacking one another in a public forum. Have enough common courtesy for one another to take it to a PM (Respect and Maturity)

Re: The Big Game!
Be the change you want to see in the world.
I think the server wouldn't be a completely horrible place if everyone was me. I've got room to improve, but I try to keep a keen eye on the teamstacking. This thread is more a reminder than anything else.Fight!
