Need an answer

Is it un-TG-like if you get a guy who finally break through the heavy defense on Toll (perhaps he was the last survivor in a buggy). He runs away from the enemy, leaves his squad, creates a new one and becomes the new SL of a 6-man squad ready to take the backflags and break the stalemate? Or is'nt this necessary?

Re: Need an answer

The problem with this is, leaving a squad to join another requires you to spawn in, so you won't have an immediate advantage, and requires you to die before you can spawn on your new SL. Anyone who is already dead, won't have the luxury of changing squads, and needs to spawn in before they can join that squad and die again so they can spawn SL. Dying is not a tactic, so your just wasting time, and splitting your squad up.

Do what most do, and keep the SL alive, and if he does die, then next time round he might be lucky enough to break through. If he continues to die try after try, then he needs to do something else, as it's not working, and your losing tickets!!

This doesn't answer the legality of the tactic however, which can only be done by Contacting the Admins

In a way it does, doesn't it? It's impossible. So if you can do it it is either through glitching or hacking. Both of which are clearly defined as bad on the good/bad scale.

Re: Need an answer

As pointed out before are you using a game-mechanic to get an advantage. But as PM already pointed out just ask the admins about it. I am pretty sure they will be happy to help you out and you will get a straight and clear answer to that question pretty quick.

If that is what happened it´s illegal. The issue was just tackled in here:

Like what's been said: You would be exploiting a weakness in the game so this is not allowed.

Re: Need an answer

I just copy-pasted my post on the other topic there. Did'nt feel that I got any correct answer on my little speculation.

Anyway it has been sorted, thanks for the comments, topic can now be deleted.

Re: Need an answer

When I first joined TG, I had the same question about BF2 I can't find the thread (search doesn't go back that far apparently), but the answer I got was along the lines of "It's a game about who has better tactics and shooting skills, not who can navigate menus and click buttons faster" In other words, you want to win within the world that the game is simulating, not by using mechanisms of the game necessary construct that world.

Hopefully that gives some perspective and will help people resolve these types of questions on their own going forward.
