Northern Strike
Hey all, I am new to bf2142 and I have the deluxe DVD edition of 2142. I insalled the game and the 1.5 patch, made an account and was able to play. Problem: When I go to activate NS, it says my account is not active.
From this list of things to do to get NS to work:
1)Create account and persona
2)Log in and then activate.
I can not even log in!
How can this be? I just used it.|TG|Ghost02

If you're logging into an NS server it is because the NS portion isn't activated. It is a convoluted process and one they really need to rectify. If you're lucky (I wasn't) there should be an icon on your desktop to activate the NS portion of the Deluxe edition. You'll need to click that icon and follow the directions. Beyond that do some digging on NS activation problems on Google. Took me a good 10-15m to track down the exact steps needed to get it all working.

It's very frustrating and the only real solution is to just keep trying. Kind of like updating Punkbuster - just keep doing everything the various sites/forums recommend until something works.

close and reopen EA Downloader - there's an activation tab - see if it's in there.

I followed the activation link and it sends me to the same website. I try to log-in but it keeps saying invalid. I update my 2142 persona to an EA email account but it still says invalid.

You need to have purchased Northern Strike using the same account that you use to log into 2142.

Actually I had the same issue. You must register a brand new account at the EA website. Once done, there is a link to link your existing BF2142 account to the EA account. Once done, then you can activate your Northern Strike. Then it will work. This is how I was able to get my NS working from the deluxe DVD.
