Bad SL's

Have you ever ben in a squad where the SL ( squad leader ) asks you to do somthing Crazy.... well post them here ( plz do not say names, unless you guys are cool and everything about it )

here's my experience

i was in operation shingle and my squad was defending Command center and then my SL said
-SilentVipers (that's my name), go kill yourself i need a guy with a Recon kit
so i was like
- Ok.... are you shure
And he said yeah.
So i ran straight into the enemy forces (Frikin rules saying that i have to obey my SL's orders)

So i invite everyone to share stories like this to make us laugh

OK my story wasnt that good....

P.S if theres already a threas like this i did not know, i searched a bit and didn't find anything

As an admin, I would like to point out purposefully charging into a situation with the intention of dying in order to acquire a different kit is considered committing suicide. This is against the TG rules on the 2142 server, and generally against the TG etiquette. If a squad leader ever orders you to do this, please report them to the TG administration, and do not obey their order. You are not required to obey orders that violate the server rules, or the TG Primer.

That being said, I would encourage anyone adding to this thread to try to focus on humorous and/or successful "crazy" things that you have been ordered to do by a Squad Leader.

Can I post my worst order as a SLer?

Deciding to go for a swim on Tunis Harbour. Ok so it didn't turn out like the video by PM but most of the squad got shot in the water, the survivor/s turned back. This was ages ago, things were going bad so it would've either worked quite nicely or failed horribly and my squad didn't mind, kind of a "to hell with it" moment.

Never gonna try it again.

Hey, if you get a bad SL, you should consider making a squad yourself. This is how I started SLing: I thought all the SLs I played with were lunatics.

When an SL who didn't mark targets and didn't tell his squad where to move griped several times that the squad needs to stick with him.

Or the other one that groused at me for not reviving him and the 3 other squaddies when they caught a nade while bunched up... with 3 enemy on the walkway right over them and me worried about the forth which was in front of me that chucked the nade. 'sokay until I got the 30 second VOIP lecture on how to defib, how to see blue Xs, how to adjust my zoom level. "Unacceptable" was the term tossed out... And here I thought it was clear before defib. Who knew? *sigh*

Chasing someone running to a back flag and being told to return. After explaining why I had left the SL said "Someone else will take care of it"

NB: I then returned to my squad and we lost due to losing back flags...

I will say I have ordered people back to defend Crossroads when they have been chasing someone to the back flag, after I see three other squads rushing back to intercept the runner also.

I ordered myself to knife the walker on Shingle this past Tuesday night. Mr.Ander5on ruined my fun though

We had one maybe 3 tickets left and the opposing team had 80+

Well I gave my squad a pretty horrible order on Shingle one time

, we had just taken dunes from them and I was feeling pretty confident so I decided hey lets try for columns! We get to the bottom floor and start going up the steps when someone puts down an IDS and I realize that there is a full squad defending.

A small battle ensued which was scarily similar to this

LOL! - is that a double negative? because serve rules say to "obey all SL and CO orders", and also say "no suicide tactics"! so you break a rule either way!! HAHA. I have a picture in my mind of a 2142 soldier just standing there scratching his head. :-)

Obviously you can't disobey a SL order (TG rule) but if the order conflicts with another TG rule then that order is invalid and shouldn't be followed...it's not that hard
