Re: Community Poll: Second Server with Strongly-enforced Teamwork
Not a bad Idea, just maybe not visioned right. mondays are no vehicle wed is the NS and Fri are the large vehicle maps and these are successful ideas implemented just a few weeks ago and everyone seems to enjoy. If I understand correctly the hole thing is about people not following orders or playing the way the game was intended or being able to give constructive criticism, well we still have Tue, Thur, Sat, and Sun to pick a PW night for serious gaming -the pubbies. Who wants to be gun ho serious all the time anyway. As I see it we already have many intense well played battles that are very fun and far outways the frustrating moments of stupidity. Plus I like to laugh and so many things on our server make that happen. I come here to get away from the seriousness, but also have a good challenge from smart players, but some times I do want to show of some skill and teamwork know how with a butt puckering intense match. So those are my thoughts.

Re: Community Poll: Second Server with Strongly-enforced Teamwork
Without reading any of the other posts and unsure if this has already been mentioned...
Who would admin the second server? We have enough trouble finding admin's throughout the day to admin the first server. How will you enforce stricter rules when we can't even enforce them on our regular server?

Re: Community Poll: Second Server with Strongly-enforced Teamwork
Seeing as most admins are contacted via the main BF2142 teamspeak channel, or by writing it out in chat...would it not be the same?

Re: Community Poll: Second Server with Strongly-enforced Teamwork
Is that just for one admin though? So if there were 2...

Re: Community Poll: Second Server with Strongly-enforced Teamwork
No, just put half on one server and half on the other.
You only need twice the amount...if you only had one to start off with. All my points were about prime time where we usually have 2 or 3...

Re: Community Poll: Second Server with Strongly-enforced Teamwork
So damonte covers server 1 and the other damonte takes care of server 2? It could work.

Re: Community Poll: Second Server with Strongly-enforced Teamwork
Bad, bad, bad idea. Because what rules would you enforce and how?
Following orders? Already supposed to be in effect on the current server. Even then it is hard to quantify. Wanna know the #1 thing that urks me off about some SLs right now?
"So-and-so, why aren't you with the squad? We need you here!"
So, do we kick the person who's not with their squad. It's obvious they're not doing all they can to keep up with the squad, right?
Or maybe the SL and SMs died, this one didn't, SL spawned 1/2 the map way, the other SMs spawned green and because suiciding is against TG rules we now have one fellow 1/2 the map away having the SL yell at him because the SL died and he didn't.
Not so clear cut now is it?
Now apply that sort of ambiguity to the rest of the TG rules as well as whatever additional rules you would pile on (What, "be uber"? What more could you add?) and it is an absolute nightmare to administer which would only serve to cause drama within the people who have this desire for stronger, enforced, cohesion.
You can't legislate perfection. Noone's perfect.

Re: Community Poll: Second Server with Strongly-enforced Teamwork
Again I say, with the 6-7 admins we already have on the regular TG server, it's rare to see more than one during PEAK hours. Scattered throughout the day there is one or two but I find myself more often than not, without an admin. Unless the plan would be to have 12 admins, this is sure to fail.

Re: Community Poll: Second Server with Strongly-enforced Teamwork
Just a note to the admins; Please don't take my comments as bashing the admin staff. You all have real lives to take care of and as a whole, when available, you all do more than a wonderful job at keeping the server clean.
I just get irked when I get intentionally teamkilled, revived, killed in the UCB by artillery, respawn, killed by a tank in the UCB that the enemy took, revived and then shot by an enemy sniper all within 30 seconds. Call for an admin which falls on deaf ears.

Re: Community Poll: Second Server with Strongly-enforced Teamwork
If that happens Greyed, then the squad member needs to answer and simply say he hasn't died yet. Pleanty of times I reply "havn't died yet" (shock, horror, I didn't die?) when I hear the SLer say "spawn on green". I then get the reply "that's fine".
Mmm, it does happen...but if there was an event night needing 2, wouldn't we just wait for the second admin before starting the second server?

Re: Community Poll: Second Server with Strongly-enforced Teamwork
I use to say in that case just " Spawn in green for the case your down.. and if not that´s awesome because you didn´t wasted a ticket like i did "
