Being new I can't seem to find anything about what the various tags means?
IE
TG 3rd
TG IRR
etc
Is there a forum link to clarify this?

Those are the tags of In-House Squads. They are TG subdivisions that specialize in aspects of the game. All IHS require that you be a supporting member to join, except the Irregulars.

LOL, yah, the Irregs have some pretty stand-up guys, but the 55th is the place for drunken late-night party combat! Sometimes we even win a round (...sometimes)
