It's really mostly a business decision. While Blizzard has made great games, I don't think their choice to make things mac compatible was out of the goodness of their hearts so much as it made sense financially to do so.
I highly doubt it made sense with NS.
Oh, and I highly doubt that WoW players are on macs.

FYI Blizzard has had every title since Warcraft 2 simultaneously released on Mac OS and Windows. And up until recently, their CDs/DVDs were hybrid (they had a Mac partition and a Windows partition). They also have a policy of releasing patchs and upgrades simultaneously for both platforms. Of course, bug fixes aren’t as extensive for the Mac because of the unified hardware specs ;¬)
