I personally think it would be more of a fun surprise to not seem them, but the fact is that you can't see the full extent of each map with just one or 2 people. I would rather know people can load the maps before the event happens than have them find out they didn't install the maps correctly.

I don't have the password myself, but I'll ask an admin.

Can't you run the maps as LAN game. You should be able to see the maps. I just downloaded the map pack so I not sure about this.

Yes, if you are in the multilayer menu, click on "local" then go to the "Create" tab and put in the maps you want. All you need do is start the server. The server will automatically make you an admin so you just need the basic RCON commands to go thourgh the rotation you setup or restart a map.

admin.runnextlevel
and
admin.restartmap

I think that's the syntax. I always have to play with that last one.

Just a reminder to everyone that that is this saturday. Please check to make sure your maps are correctly installed. I would hate to see some people not be able to join us because their maps would not load.

I believe there are some pics on page 1 or 2 (depending on your settings)....or cheat and click here

Also, I haven't installed yet, could someone post a little guide for the install?

This is Oniell's install guide...

1. Download the Custom map ZIP folder
2. Open "My Computer"
(The next few steps assumes that you have 2142 installed in the default dir)
3. Open C:
4. Open "Program Files"
5. Open "Electronic Arts" or possibly "EA Games"
6. Open "bf2142"
7. Open "Mods"
8. Open "bf2142"
9. Open "Levels"
10. Copy all the folders from the ZIP file into the "levels" folder you just opened.
11. Done!
