I have been asked why I vanished off the forums by a gazillion people and I told each of them one by one but thats really tedious so Im posting here as an FYI

My supporting membership expired which is the main reason I dont visit the forums anymore

" Martha are you going to renew your membership ?? "

I probably wont renew anytime soon for a few reasons.

1) Rage, PromQueen, RogueSniper, Catman, Arithea, Aruncado, etc etc etc ... many of the people that attracted me here are no longer here.

2) I dont mind waiting for a spot to game on the server.

3) The ads here are the worst I have seen anywhere on the net and bring my browser to a stand still - in case you didnt know the ads are 'everywhere' ... even between posts within a thread ! ( this is the main reason I now avoid the forums )

4) The dues paid by supporting members should provide more than enough revenue to maintain TG et al without having to resort to 'greedy' tactics.

5) Subjecting our guests to an ad extravaganza not only discourages them from joining but is not a very nice way to treat guests. "Oh you are a guest ? OK .. here you get to suffer through a marketing blitz with each click of your mouse so we can make MONEY off of you. Although, if you give us money we will make the ads go away." Extortion ?

6) Subjecting our guests to an ad extravaganza is a very petty way to marginally increase revenue ( if TG needs more money to run things then up the dues by $1 instead )

You will really be missed Martha. You have provided me with countless very fun transport runs and will be sorely missed. I look forward to seeing you in game from time to time. I'm sorry you're leaving.

hmmmm, I look to playing when you are on....ads? The only ad I see is in the top right corner.....interesting.

Hey there mate, I was waiting around in TS last night and finally had to hit the sack at around 10:00pm. Look me up when you have a spare moment and we can talk some more.

I can understand your reasons for needing to step back but I also understand that it might not be forever, I'll keep looking around for you mate and keep your trigger finger ready

Yes, just log out of the forums and you get to see the "beauty" non SMs get to see

....which has been describted as "More ads than a porn site" by evil tongues.

I had some fun times playing against you last night Martha. I saw a lone buggy making a rush across the bridge on Suez, and knew it had to be you!

As for the ads, install AdBlock Plus. I just logged out and opened a few threads, no ads I could see.

:\ I feel like I died and you are all making the usual graveside comments as you toss dirt on my coffin ( none of which are true .. which is typical of graveside comments )

Thanks for all the kind words everyone ... but but but ... Im not going anywhere !!

I will as usual be making myself available as a big fat juicy target on the servers as regularly as I can manage

I just wont be lurking about here on the forums instilling sage words of wisdom and other valueless bits & bobs of the genius that IS martha. So if you make fun of me and wonder why I didnt laugh .. you know why.

I still luv everybody ( ok I admit I luv the girls more than the guys, sorry guys ) and I repeat that I will be on the servers improving your k/d ratio as efficiently as always.

Ok - I have to admit AND confess that I 'acted stupidly' by choosing said particular wording of the phrase BADLY to say what I communicated wherein I wanted to but didnt and more ...

If I didnt enjoy gaming on the server - I wouldnt.

I am friends with a good number of 'active' TG members, and you know who you are ( if I list you all then this post will read like an ingredient list )

The way I phrased that it sounds like Im comparing people and/or discounting the 'active' TG members - and that was NOT my intent whatsoever.

regularly receiving PMs and visitor messages with friendly banter and excruciatingly witty dialogue from Rage, Catman, and many other less active TG members - is one of the things I enjoyed most about visiting the forums. I think you all know Im not a big 'thread poster' and Im usually too dang busy to keep up with all the posts here anyway. So now I dont read the forums much ( cuz of the ads ) and I only pop in here if I get a PM or visitor message. So there.. that explains what I tried to summarize briefly but ended up inadvertently insulting everybody by 'acting stupidly' :\

For those of you who just skipped to the bottom without reading all the stuff above ..

- Im not going anywhere so you can still kill me all the time
- I typed too fast and I insulted everyone in typical martha-esque fashion
- The ads drink me to drive so I am avoiding the forums
- Some friends are inactive so Im not here writing funny PMs all the time
- I still luv everyone ( except Catman .. and Memento ) ( and Eroak cuz he lives too far away )

I just like that you mention Catman like he's dead and gone...It puts a smile on my face for some twisted reason. Meanwhile he's still a supporting member and active 8th captain. He's not gone...and I refuse to beleive that Rage will never be back...NEVER!!!!!!
