We where on the run, feeld good because we had most of the flags and instead of holding what we have we went all aggressive.. EU side just let us cap most of the flags just to run behind us , cap all our bag flags, taking ponds, ruins, statue and comm-tower... and we where all trapped! They still had forces pushing on Monorail to keep us busy and i could kick myself in the a$$ for being fooled like that. Well to my defends.. i was not sober and quite tired.. but anyway that was damn clever and impressed me quite a lot. Not sure if it was on purpose but damn it worked well
I was in your squad for that round. Running back and forth going back to defend or to capture the flags back and they would push up and take everything else. You kept us hoping from flag to flag. Kept us on our toes sober or not. Was a great round!

So, yes, this was awhile Go.. few months.. Love it dearly though. On Camp G, we got it so we had 2 SLs in the start in 1 buggy with both our squads holding spawn. I put a single RDX on the FAV. (NOTE It is NOT Jihad, just so they do not get the FAV_) . We got into the FAV going for Harbor right at the start. We both had jumped out at Harbor , got our squads spawn in for the fast CAP. Then as the EU takes the FAV I make it go BooM, Holding them off a little longer and clearing the Area.

It has worked a lot and I love to do this idea. Lets for a fast Cap and a for a win. If the rest do not push atleast.
    sure

Haha, yes it is very sneaky and quick. Also best about it is the fact that you can win by having only Harbor so.

Yeah, but it makes for a long drawn out rocket fest that could go either way. :P However it is the best way to get bleed off right away.

It really depends on the push. Sometimes ya may get by so. It is okay. Tho, it is very easy to make a win from it if ya do not push. Still best I have ever done on a map to SL in.

Re: Wonderfully clever things you've witnessed recently?

I remember we were playing Highway Tampa a couple of months ago and I was running Assault. I was hiking for whatever reason to flank Storage Area and support an armor push we had attacking the front of the control point with some BaurPower on the ground (I think I had a buggy but I crashed it ). I was sprinting across some open ground toward the walls of the control point when I saw, to my horror, a Tiger bearing down on me. Apparently the driver was going to go and pull a flanking maneuver of his own, only on my tanks. So, putting the team before myself and acting out of the pure terror only bestowed upon those with a 30 ton war-machine of steel and titanium alloy roaring down at you, I took cover behind one of those little broken trucks that are conveniently scattered about the battlefield and fired some PK rockets from my rifle at him. It just pissed him off.
Approaching to eliminate this annoying distraction, the tank driver drove up to the truck and swiveled his turret to see around the obstacle only to find that I wasn't there. I had run around the other side of the truck. Turning the cumbersome vehicle, the driver ran around the other side of the truck to find me, but I had evaded him once again. We continued like this from some time, me getting the odd shot off at the relatively vulnerable side or rear armor of the tank while sprinting around the broken truck to escape it and cackling like a maniac. Eventually the tank retreated some ways and the driver bailed out. I peeked around the corner to have a look at where my play-mate had gone when I saw him pulling out a Zeller. I had time to think 'Huh, Recon in a tank' before he shot me in the head.
I had held up the Tiger with my mad roundabout for the minute or two it had taken for my own armor to take the objective.

Re: Wonderfully clever things you've witnessed recently?

Nice work, except this thread is supposed to be about clever things you've witnessed other people do.
I've got one, but its more of a clever teamwork move rather than a clever killing.
I was piloting on Shuhia one round, and the enemy gunship managed to take me down to about 8 health, enough that I know my gunship is going to explode, but also not enough for me not to try to get a my revenge first. So I quickly spin the gunship and fire off all my rockets and bail. Unfortunately I don't quite kill my enemy, and I start falling. I was about 600m up when I started falling so I figured I might as well wait before deploying my parachute to try and get away from the enemy gunship before I land, otherwise his gunner will certainly tear me apart with his machinegun.
When I'm about 200m away from hitting the ground, I see an ally gunship absolutely barreling at me from behind the enemy gunship. He comes straight for me and I realize that he is going to try picking me up from my midair fall.
I drop to only about 50m and start mashing E, and to my luck I enter the gunship as the gunner! I switch camera views and see that the enemy gunship's pilot is none the wiser-he hadn't seen my ally's gunship coming and I had just seemingly disappeared literally from under him. We then came back to where the enemy was still circling the ground looking for me, and my pilot (sorry, forgot who it was!) allowed me to TV them.
    I always get my revenge

I'm always open for tips, tutorials and training in the gunship while online, just ask :)

Even if you don't consider that I only have 7 days played in the gunship I'm one of the best pilots in the game

Re: Wonderfully clever things you've witnessed recently?

For starters I think this thread is a clever thing recently witnessed!

First time I ever met Zhohar (he was on the opposite side) was on Tunis, we where defending Eastern and suddenly a buggy rushed right past us on the road, passing the flag and stopping between our uncap and Eastern. And a lot of people started to spawn. May sounds trivial but none in the squad exept me had even seen the buggy rushing by and the surprise from "my" squad (I wasn't SL) was total. "Where the F*** do the grenades come from" etc etc. Total confusing which took a while to sort out (I told them over voip, still took some time for them to get their bearings). So simple and yet so effective. Lesson for survival: Never trust Zhohar to do the usual thing with a buggy

Nominating Zhohar for tactical surprise effect award

I sometimes lead squads, sometimes voluntarily, sometimes not. What I really have appriciated and learnt a lot from is then you have more experienced sm who helps you by making suggestions and requests. Like Proctor last friday "Permission to grab the tank SL?" "Looks like they have done a break through at X, want us to fall back SL?" and so on. This gives me 3 valuable inputs. A) Tells me what Proctor want to do, B) Makes me think about what assets we have that isn't used, C) How someone else reads the tactical situation and perhaps pointing out things that I may have otherwise have missed. And it's done in a way thats friendly while still letting me make the calls. Great way of making less expereinced SL:s a better one.

Nominating Proctor, Bellander (Carebear a while back) and Frozen (I think it was, on a Northern map, also a while back) for being very clever then it comes to communicating and developing less experienced SL:s without stepping on their toes.

Well me and a handful of others all got together on the 11th Air's server and launched an FAV onto the back of a Titan...
