It seems we (Eroak) have created a long list for EA to take care of, but do we have a clue when this will be released?

You'll be able to pick up free USB drives with the patch on it at the opening day of the MacDonalds on Mars.

If they do make northern strike free I will murder someone in EA since I bought it 2-3 weeks ago.

Seriously people! For the few dollars spent......If it were free we would be able to have full TG servers on NS, don't you sometimes get sick of the same maps over and over?
Free NS would re-invigorate the gameplay and mix things up again......I payed for NS but it wouldn't bother me if others got it for free. I'd be quite happy to have "wasted" my few Euros if it meant the game could get that bit more interesting again.
You just don't get TG style gameplay on the NS servers that are out there. We could experience NS the way it's meant to be played!!!!

Re: BF2 Patch around the corner - might there be hope for 2142? ;)
I have a good friend who was invited to participate in the (very limited closed) beta testing for the 2142 patch. He said there were two new vanilla maps and one new NS map. He didn't say anything about whether they were free or not. Of the three new maps, he said the new NS one was the best.
He said they were supposed to release it soon but were still fixing bugs. ....still waiting...

I would be more than happy if the NS pack was included with the patch, as jazy2 has said, it would breath new life into the game. And I too payed for NS!
Hatchimoto slippin and slidin FTW!

Re: BF2 Patch around the corner - might there be hope for 2142? ;)
If NS were to be released for free with the patch it's not such a bad thing.
I paid for NS all the way back when it was initially released and for this whole time there really hasn't been good servers to play on.
So, if the patch includes NS, I look forward to it because TG can finally really include the NS maps in the rotation.

Re: BF2 Patch around the corner - might there be hope for 2142? ;)
I would be completely okay with NS being released for free, even though I paid for it way back when as well. Like KnyghtMare said, there have not been many good servers with good teamwork running NS consistently, so if everyone else got NS for free now and TG could support more NS action, I might finally get my money's worth out of my investment.
