BF2 Patch around the corner - might there be hope for 2142? ;)

I thought the new BF2 patch was being released with a 2142 patch. I thought I saw it in the news ticker on BFHQ.

Didn't they first start working on this BF2 patch close to a year ago? Hmmm...

Regardless, pretty sweet they are still supporting a game put out this long ago!

Even though I payed for NS, I think it would be worth it going free to play the maps.

yeah. there's no reason to be pissed about paying for it. At least this way you're actually going to get to USE the maps you paid for. Of course that's if and only if they make NS free. Which may be doubtful.

2142 patch was announced and then postponed due to unspeakable problems on BF2 patch

The patch notes are making vanilla bf2 sound pretty fun.

I especially think that this is a huge game changer:
"Added Battlefield 2142 style prone deviation (going prone will now cause reduced accuracy for a brief period) "

Prone spammers and dolphin divers are going to be pissed.

I agree about NS, a part of me would be irritated that it was now free. It would be nice to actually play the maps though. I wonder what kind of install problems that would produce though.......

Perhaps we should organize a night for 2142 to take over Bf2? sounds fun.
