Don't wear tags on the server?
Anyone ever considered this? Sometimes you'll get comments of teamstacking on the server. "Oh, look at all those IHS members all playing together! That's why we're losing! Blah!"
How about sponsoring a night where everyone takes their tags off? Go "incongnito", see what the response from the pubs is.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blah blah blah.

Re: Don't wear tags on the server?
What shall that be good for? I mean sure people throw the words " Team stacking " and what not quite to easy around and forget that non tagged player can be good regulars as well but if no one is wearing the tags does it not make the stacking easier because you won´t notice it so quick?
Well no offend and stuff. Thats just what comes up in my mind first. His capacity for love lost, the man accepts it into his glas of dispair. The Flames of burning anger unquenched, the man keeps drinking... but never gets drunk

Re: Don't wear tags on the server?
People losing will always try finding "the reason" they lost.
A hint:
"I sucked that round" & "Our teamwork could have been better" is usually at the very bottom
At the very top there are "Those teams are stacked!" "Look at all the IHS members!" "We lost by more than 100 tickets on a bleed map! Teams are unbalanced!"
There are very small things in a round that can greatly influence the outcome like:
- 1 TG SL making a successful Buggy Rush with a Spawnbomb = + 25 Tickets for you
- 1 Pubby driving the buggy off to its doom = -50 Tickets for you

Re: Don't wear tags on the server?
The only reason why I would change my tag would be to put a special one like Lyra suggested : |Ponylover| Kossst or something would be a good replace for a one night stand.
We should make a special night where we all wear such tag.

Re: Don't wear tags on the server?
Eh. Win, lose, it's a fun game. My advice is not to take it too seriously and go with the flow.
It is just that, a game. If you have to make up reasons to justify your loss, you're not playing to have fun.

Re: Don't wear tags on the server?
Plenty of nights I would get stuck with all pubbies against mostly TG on the other side, never bothers me, I actually think good this should be fun and just cause people arnt wearing tags dosnt mean they dont know how to play. Only time I call out a stack is when 1 side loses half there team to a crash. But I am proud to wear my tags and arnt going to remove them to appease a few whiners, like ninky said its just a game.

Re: Don't wear tags on the server?
I've heard many excuses of look at all the TG guys on that team...we don't have any. hahah. It's amazing how people judge a book by it's cover. I didn't wear the TG tag for the longest time and I was still out there kicking A**. The TG tag just makes it that much better. :]

Re: Don't wear tags on the server?
I'm sure people commenting on a large "TG imbalance" are pointing out the likely way things will go. Sure there could be some great players on your team that arn't TG and it'll actually be very even...but the TG tags still give an indication of a team's ability. Most of the time these comments are said in squad chat anyway, and they'll say "we're probably gonna lose." I only hear the comments made in TS along with a request to even the teams when it's majorly obvious.
Anyway, let's not get into that discussion, everyone is still enjoying the game...and we regularily try to even the teams.
Unfortunately, I don't really see a reason not to wear the tags, even for a day. It's nice to have them.

It's easier to say, "I suck all the time". Really, I do. Whenever I do well, it's because orbital mind control lasers are helping me pwn the battlefield.

I don't agree with no tags on the server. The |TG| tag is a uniform, and a symbol of the TG primer: maturity, respect, etc.
|TG| tagged players set the example, and the pubbies who look at us will be in awe and say, "I want to be a part of this community where players coordinate, flags aren't chosen at random," etc.Without teamwork, you'll never survive.
Without betrayal you'll never win.

Re: Don't wear tags on the server?
Why would there be angry people about that?
The times I have played on the server in the last couple months I played without the tag (usually). I liked it, it took some of the pressure off. TBH I'm not the best player in the world and there's a certain amount of quality and teamwork expected from someone wearing the tag, and I felt I was not reaching that level. It was cool having people join the squad without any expectation and having the squad do pretty well.
It's always nice to be pleasantly surprised

Re: Don't wear tags on the server?
When I play with my second soldier, which is more often than not these days, I play without the tags on but I still adhere to the primer and play as if I were wearing the tags. Sometimes it's just nice to log into the server and not have people expecting you to create a squad, do adminly things, etc. It doesn't mean I don't admin the server when playing as that soldier, i do - but I have to alt-tab a lot more. Plus, it's fun to join random squads and just go with the flow, or give someone crap and see if they figure it out..
