If he then doesn't move out I keep shooting rockets in order to keep him pinned. Now I would use term spam.

I am agreed with these sentiments.
The problem is, there are some people out there, mainly that don't play on the TG server, that will call rockets unskilled and will say you are rocket spamming simply for killing them over and over with it. If in each case you knew where they were and used them effectively as Mixa said, then we know better and that it is simply the best way to kill the person, nothing to do with spam. So it is them misusing the term because they consider it unskilled.
I will still apply the term "rocket spam" to some situations though, even though it won't stop me accepting it as the best solution and using them back straight away.
Lol Repaq! Nice XD

A rose would be just as sweet by any other name. Do we care what people call it?
PS. I'm pretty sure they let the bronze cool into a solid state before using it in weapon, Zho

Re: "Rocket spam" -- my views.
The people who say they're unskilled are the same people who get mad at me on pub servers for shooting them in the face during what they assumed was a knife fight.
How's that for a ridiculous generalization?

I use rockets all the time, I don't hate them or dislike them, but I do enjoy the occasional break from them.

To be called a rocket noob, means you are a rocket pro! Take it as a compliment. Now we just need something clever to say back to them. Saying 'Adapt' is a bit boring.. What's your ideas?

Re: "Rocket spam" -- my views.
I'm not a fan of the rockets, although I have them unlocked and use them from time to time when I'm playing assault (I'm usually playing engineer). If they didn't exist, the speedy gameplay of BF2142 would probably suffer. So although it irritates me that "cover" in BF2142 is not the same as "cover" in BF2, I'm glad they're around.
Although I wish engineers had them rather than loser assaults. ;P

Man that was funny!!
People tend to forget there is a HUGE drawback to the rockets. They reveal your exact location! So all the world knows where you are; they see you, they know who you are, they know if you have buddies around, hell they even could tell what you had for dinner!!
So by using rockets, the player reveals his position; meaning that if you are a rocket noob, you’ll end up having 1/1 kill/death ratio. Unless your oponents are noober (new word here) than you at reacting to rocket fire.
So I think it’s a good point... Instead of complaining about rocket spam, it’s more productive to channel this agression towards finding a solution to the « rocket spam ». A few pointers:
- movement
- team work
- communication
Practice those and rocket spammers the world over will fear your wrath.
Well maybe not, but at least you’ll be able to T-bag them every so often...

Quoted for truth
Once you shoot rockets from somewhere that place is "cursed" for the next 20 or so seconds. Don´t stand there. If all was quiet - can use again
