Re: Fake TG tags?
@Icehawk: Some of the newer IHS, with their three digit numeral designations, simply can't fit the whole thing in there, so they use some sort of abbreviation. For the 101st, we use | TG-SC|, the SC standing for Siege Corps. Kyle explained the 999th's tags, etc. Just hop over onto the wiki pages of the different IHS, or just ask.

It looks like they use the " TG" tags w/o the "|" and refer to themselves as TG.
Its possible that some people showing up on our server(s) are from this group.

Dang, they are like a clone or a long lost twin that got sucked into consoles... They just are a lot smaller and a noted clan.

You could form half a server just by the numbers at the 21st.. It looks like the whole of TG has changed into the 21st. There is no point in an IHS format anymore. Just join the 21st!

For that type of work, virtues opposite of destruction are necessary: character, patience, and perseverance.
And more plainly -- how should we deal with people who misuse our tags, or publically accuse us of things we do not do, and do not stand for?
Do we hunt them down, and pursue them, and feed the trolls?
Or do we point them, calmly and politely, to our server, our squads, OUR PEOPLE, so that those who care to know the truth can find out for themselves. And do we show them that maturity stands for a step and measure above "eye for an eye", of simple retalliation, and we teach them what the tags stand for and what WE stand for.
Ultimately, it's simple: we're community built on character. We're not exclusive, we're not elitists, and we don't hunt down people who don't know better. Foremost, we're here for maturity.

That was beautiful,. =O
Does running over people in the Gunship with false tags count as hunting them down?
Oh wait sorry.
But yeah, Normaly when I see a new TGer on, I always try to ask someone or them who they are and what not, just to see if they really on TGers or not. I mean I've seen people with TG tags do some weird things , just to find out they are not really TG. Like report people for stealing a gunship on Sidi...? Only one gunship? lol! , Note the day MDFubar kicked me from the game.. I was like.. WTF Mate?! But yeah... I honestly have to say it isn't very common so.. There really isn't a problem that I've seen, nor they normally get caught or never bother to come back so.

I dunno, even people wearing correct TG tags can sometimes mess things up. As I posted earlier we had someone camping an uncap wearing 128th tags. We kinda felt legitimized though. We gotta be doing something for someone to notice us and use our tags to camp a UCB......hmmm...maybe I don't like that so much. LOL

Re: Fake TG tags?
Or maybe they saw something from one of your members that suggested to them that their behavior was ok. You need to be careful when throwing around jokes in VOIP or TS when you have other people there too. Some of them will take you seriously.

I wonder, but if every Irregular switched to 2142, I imagine we could run the entire server...
