TGU 2142 Basic SL Take 2
I'm going to teach another 2142 Basic SL course. Shortly thereafter, I may do an Advanced SL course.
Before I officially announce it and reserve a server, I would like times when people who are interested are available.
Only times posted in PST timezone will be taken into account!! Likely course dates are in mid-late October.
For student convenience, I have provided an outline below.
The objective of this thread is to both measure interest and ascertain the best time to conduct class.
Starting times possible.
Thursday: 5pm-8pm
Friday: 10am-8pm
Saturday: 10am-8pm
Sunday: 10am-4pm

TGU BF2142 Basic SL module
| TG-21| Fruvous
This module is designed to provide students important skills and knowledge necessary for every TG SL. TG SLs should understand all mechanics available to them. This class will also delve into some advanced aspects of infantry tactics to help get SLs ready to go on the battlefield.
Setup:
Map: 48p Belgrade
Class size: 5-8 students
Instructor assumes Commander position. Students are in a squad to prevent autokick.
To pass the course, students must pass every exercise, participate in the discussion, and pass a 1 round live-fire exam.

Part 1: Squad Setup
Part 2: Orders
Part 3: Tracking members of your squad
Chapter 2: Talking as a SL
Part 1: Controls
Part 2: Conveying information/intel
Part 3: Etiquette
Chapter 3: The Field map
Part 1: Bleed
Part 2: Gauging enemy movements
Chapter 4: Your squad on the field
Part 1: Kits
Part 2: SL Assets
Part 3: Squad objectives
Part 4: Important SL decisions

I highly recommend everyone who has not taken this class already to jump in and learn something. You may think " heck i am a good SL already " but there are always things you never knew and maybe you can bring up one or two good points in the class the teachers didn´t knew until then so you can help teaching as well. Anyway ...

Would work I think Ninkybob, albeit I would personally prefer 3 PST rather than 4 PST.

I've updated Friday-Sunday times to be more Eurofriendly. I've also removed Tuesday from consideration.

The 26th is a Monday. The 24th is a Saturday (at least according to my calendar).

No, PST is the west coast of north America and part of Mexico.
Like me here in California!

As to the SL course, I'm already done the advanced SL course, but this has some new points. If there was room I would do it on any of those days except Thursday and Sunday.

I really don't care what time it is as long as it is on a weekend. Man I've been waiting for a basic SL class for a while! Definilty could use the training.

For those without the basic infantry qualification who are looking to take this class, I will most likely pair a basic infantry class with this one prior to the basic SL to make sure everyone who wants to learn is qualified!
