Re: Damn the admins!
Think the admins are doing a great job. It's an thankless and hard job to be an admin and it usually goes with the territory that you get attention mainly then something is out of wack (or people perceive that it's so).
But kisses, no way but you can get a hug if you want to? =)

Re: Damn the admins!
I don't think anyone's really condemning the admins. Everyone realizes how much the admins do (which is why we all go to TG and not any other server).
I think it's just that some people get frustrated when something disappointing happens on the server, they see a solution to prevent it, propose it, and nothing happens.
As everyone here will post, everyone loves the admins. We may not really say it much, but we really do.
edit:
I'm currently sick, so I will bake you guys a cake instead.

Re: Damn the admins!
Well how about this for a +suggestion
Make a sticky thread named admin announcements. Admins can post if they are out of town or unavailable, or if the rotation is going to have some testing done on it. Simple things to increase the visibility of the admin team's actions and train of thought on what is going to improve the server. This could also be done using the announcement forum but people don't look at that very often. This thread coulad also be used to give a mini bios about the admins including things like, beset way to report things, or little tips to make things smoother.
I hope that you don't really think that people have a negative attitude about the admins because no one does. Yes as members of the community, which you guys over see, we give our positive and negative feedback about things that happen. The community has tried to offer solutions for a few of the problems only to be frustrated when its brushed aside. Its tough on both sides but hopefully it will work out.

Re: Damn the admins!
Great post and I'm glad something has been said because ot of this complaining nonsense seems to be in every forum for every game that is super busy with players. No one wants to step up bu are willing to complain that admins are not doing enough. A lot of players have come to TG over the years yapping constantly about how they are not liking how admins run the games and how things are setup but will not leave for somewhere else.
My hats to all the admins for ACTUALLY stepping up and taking their duties seriuosly.

Re: Damn the admins!
Well, kissy kiss and dido to pretty much everything said thus far.
Now I shall do the unthinkable and actually give the admins a suggestion, that being to stir in a little northern strike and some armor maps (or a few more than you have now).
Thanks for ll the hard work.

Re: Damn the admins!
Isn't there something strange about complaining about how complaining is nonconstructive? Hmm...

Re: Damn the admins!
I've never heard someone say "damn the admins".
Everyone appreciates the work they do, as plenty have already said, so I won't say more.

Re: Damn the admins!
The admins aren't doing a horrible job. There are plenty of explanations as to why there's a drop in server population.
Many players are in college, are in school, wtv.

Re: Damn the admins!
I've always found the admin team to be a good bunch, but then again, I've known you for a good while.
Also, whoever blames the admins for the rotation better start blaming themselves and the rest of the 2142 players that supported the current rotation. The suggested rotations are made by the members and then the admins try to put the suggested rotations into some semblance of a finalized rotation. Am I wrong in saying that? If I am right, then it really comes down to the players who came up with the crazy rotation. If the admins wanted to, they could stop listening to our suggestions and complaints about the server. They could just make a rotation that pleased them, so remember, they decided to hear our thoughts before the rotation is made.
And please, whoever brings up armor maps and Northern Strike, please remember, not everyone has Northern Strike and that there seems to be a large number of complainers that hate Armor maps in TG. I know it is stupid to listen to their nonsense, but we will most likely not have those maps for a while.
Crux, I feel bad about the infraction you got, but when I read your sarcasm, I have trouble identifying that it is sarcasm. I can tell when you are speaking sarcasm, but when you type it, I am often confused for a little bit.
Now, I have heard "damn admins" before, but that was by angry pubbies.
