Re: a new trend?
This is an example of a ROFLcopter. It is terror from above, particularly to lowly, fleshy infantry.

Re: a new trend?
ohhhhh i get it. i've played where we have a full transport with our squad and we drop motion mines on armor, wait till it blows up pod out onto the flag and we capture it in maybe 8 sec. then we hop back in the transport and fly away. and also we have 2 engies repairing us if we get hit so we're like indestructible. I love squads like that. thanks for the video also

Re: a new trend?
As much as I personally detest the roflcoptor, comparing it to bunnyflopping is ludicrous.
And Aumen, realize that video is 13 seconds long in slow motion. In reality what you have in real time is someone who goes prone 6 times in somewhere between 5 and 7 seconds. That means if you watch it in reality he is basically proning constantly. If you think that's ok, then you and I have very different ideas of realism.

Re: "hitbox glitching"
Please provide just one of the following videos:
1) Footage of soldiers in any army in the world being trained to dive to the ground, then get up, then dive to the ground again over and over once or twice per second as a part of a combat maneuver. Football teams do this for physical conditioning.
2) Footage of a soldier under fire IRL diving to the ground then standing, then diving to the ground again over and over again in the open in order to avoid fire.
kthxbye.

Re: "hitbox glitching"
I think you guys forget one thing. BF2142 soldiers aren't just ordinary soldiers. We've been pumped by with enhanced endurance and stamina recovery injections. We're freaking supermen. We also got a pair of sick shock absorbing boots.

Re: "hitbox glitching"
We can all come up with a clear example in our head of what a bunnyflop is, but the problem is with the implementation of a rule, and the fact that most times things just aren't that clear cut. Just look at the other thread where Lyra posted a vid and not everyone was convinced it actually was bunnyflopping at all.

Re: "hitbox glitching"
I agree that that video was a borderline example. I for one have seen far worse cases of bunnyflopping, and if I have time in the next couple of days, I may download some BR files and see what I can find.

Re: a new trend?
Just for the info (in case someone hasn't said this yet) "bunny-flopping" and "dolphin-diving" is the same thing.
My opinion, though much shorter than all of your philosophical philosophies....lol... anyways, I always crouch when going around corners.

Re: "hitbox glitching"
That's the point though, the rules should be clear enough that we don't have "borderline" or "debatable" cases. This is the problem with implementation - before we consider implementation of a new rule, we (preferably) need some drafts of what might be implemented, and then critiquing it into something more usable. It's fine discussing the nature of bunnyflopping and its place on the server, but discussing an actual rule change/implementation without having anything to refer to is not going to go anywhere other than in circles.
