Re: a new trend?
It is absolutely NOT the same thing:
Dolphin diving is going prone while jumping in the air to land in a prone position to avoid fire, which is banned.
Bunny-flopping is going prone then getting back up almost immediately and repeating this many times to avoid fire.Anger is a gift - Malcolm X

Re: "hitbox glitching"
Exactly as Sharingan is saying. If the proposed ban is clear then why is there discussion about whether it was broken or not? That's just one example... imagine the multitude found in a week. Players can't be getting called on false reports half the time, and even then, how do the admins decide who was right?
That's going to be a hard enough environment for TG people, but if WE can't even get the rules straight, what about how everyone else on the server would feel?

Re: a new trend? Bunny Flop
I merged the "new trend" thread and the "hitbox glitching" thread. Though both started out as separate and independent ideas, they both went in the same direction and basically became the same conversation.

Re: a new trend? Bunny Flop
I feel like anything I might say has been said, but ... I am a big opponent of the "bunny flop", and I think that video was only a borderline version. If it were a rule, I wouldn't report that. I have seen it done more often in MUCH more rapid succession.
there have been several great definitions in here of what a bunny flop is (most of which essentially say the same thing.)
my $0.02:
bunny HOP goes UP
bunny FLOP goes DOWN
both essentially look like "follow the bouncing ball"I got yer Dancing With the F**&ing Stars right here!!

Re: a new trend? Bunny Flop
You know, this continued debate on trying to determine what bunnyflopping is and isn't in terms of enforcing a rule regarding it, is kinda like trying to define life. We can't really concrete 100% define it, but we can come close, and we sure as hell know it when we see it. Maybe give the person the benefit of the doubt once and report them if they continue flopping. This shouldn't be so hard.
And point taken, Crux. Your definition is concise and accurate enough in my opinion to be used pretty much as is.

Re: a new trend?
Oh really, huh I perceived it as if the speed was increased, but I don't know how you would tell - hmm, Lyra?
And Crux I did not mean for it to be directly compared to roflcoptering - but if I had you would be right, that would be ludicrous. In fact my rhetorical statement was simple; ie just because things seem annoying does not mean we need to ban them or make a new rule.
Cheers,

My solution: Ban everything, no one is allowed to play 2142 anymore. Problem solved!
