Re: Bad Company 2 - further info
More of a question, with BC 2 and BF3 later down the road has anyone ever heard any talk from dice on another possible 2142?

I wondered the same thing when I first heard about 1943....2143 anyone? I imagine it'll be a long wait if ever.

Starting 19 November 2009, PS3 gamers will be able to experience the unprecedented action, destruction, vehicular warfare, squad play and open sandbox environments that only Battlefield can deliver.
The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer beta will feature the Arica Harbour map, where up to 24 players can compete in one of the game’s four intense multiplayer modes called Rush. This new map displays a superb balance of vehicle and infantry combat, as the American assault unit attacks the Russian army base with full force, advancing further through a beautiful desert town and towards the industrial area in a desperate attempt to overtake the Arica Harbour. Heavy vehicle warfare on the first bases gradually turns into an intense infantry fight as the level progresses, showcasing this best-in-class online war experience.
Gamers can get a taste of this incredibly intense action by a numbers of ways including reserving the game with participating retailers. While supplies last.
How do I get a Beta Key?
For North America - Beta Keys are limited in quantity and will be available through these select partners: Best Buy and Gamestop. Reserve your copy now in stores!
For Europe and Asia - Keep your eyes open for local opportunities!
More details to follow as we continue to announce additional beta key partners next week. Check back our blog for more details.
Not a PS3 Owner?
Coming December, we will invite players to participate in a PC open beta. Then, early next year, all players worldwide will get to experience this premier shooter when we releases a Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer DEMO on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be available on March 2, 2010 in North America and March 5, 2010 in Europe for the Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC."veritas vos liberabit"

Re: Bad Company 2 - further info
This statement made the game much more promising when compared to the original, as tank domination made the gameplay most unbalanced. In fact, it seems that jumping into a heavily armored vehicle is no longer the guaranteed kill streak it was in the first Bad Company--at least on this map
It seems though that weapons have moved on from the original BF games and now act more realistically, sniper rifle atm is one shot = dead.
So it seems while making engineer and sniper more powerful they've left support more out of role it had earlier, especially the "intel guy" it is in 2142, as motion censor seems not to be class specific. Medic on the other hand, with defib, will be more needed now that dying is easier
Rush mode seems great.

Re: Bad Company 2 - further info
Hopefully it will either do that or just lock out your weapon for the duration.
Not sure how I feel about the no prone, I generally didn't use it much in BF2142 but I don't know if I like not being able at all...I suppose another down side is that I can't get easy head shots off people that use it improperly anymore either

No prone=no dolphin divers

Playing BF2142 as:
-{SXGr}- J0KerRr
-{SXGr}- x^DeTeR
I'm always open for tips, tutorials and training in the gunship while online, just ask :)
Currently taking a break from MW2, but when I play its as:
eXileD// DeTeR
Even if you don't consider that I only have 7 days played in the gunship I'm one of the best pilots in the game
I will always accept a 1v1, friendly or not
MW2 Objective Player + BF2142 Gunship Pro
