    Unfortunately the people who don't get joygasms out of armour dominating the map, it's a bit of a worry that the player count is so low. It'll just make armour even harder to take down, and even more prominent in being the deciding factor in matches. If they give us a No vehicles version of the maps I think it may be popular, but that's still not ideal because vehicles are/were a big part of the BF series, and what made it feel like a large-scale battlefield.

    In the video the tanks were ''rather'' weak, one missile per vehicle and ka-boom! But I agree 100% that it ain't going to be the new ''bf2'' if the multiplayer is limited to 24 players. Have to wait and see though, in some games 24 players is alot, and in some its very little.

    Armour doesn't dominate in 2142, its about time it got a boost in effectiveness. Even with the APC being what it is, the maps rely almost solely on infantry to capture flags.

    And as Mixa said, a Javelin or two will probably make short work of a tank... There's no shields in B:BC2...

    The armour doesn't dominate for a very good reason - because Battlefield is an FPS. The armour should be a bonus - it should add an extra dimension to infantry play, not completely annihilate it.

    Perhaps you are seeing my point the wrong way... I don't want infantry to be chaff before the vehicles, but as a frequent tank driver in 2142, I can tell you that it is extremely frustrating to have to engage infantry constantly on their terms because of indestructible cover. It leaves the armor constantly having to worry about its own hide instead of supporting the infantry. Being able to blow those pesky engineers out of their hidey holes will be a welcome change of pace.

    I don't think there will be spawn on squad leader in any more battlefield games
    The new model in BF1943 xbox is 4 man squads and you can spawn on any squad member you choose (ie up to 3 live SMs) or a flag you control
    I think this will be the new model for future games, as it removes the reliance on a competent squad leader for the squad to function, it in effect automates some of the skill/responsibility of the current squad leader role

    Thats kind of dissapointing... well I guess we will always have 2142. This preview does look like fun, but I hope they include the fun squadplay / teamwork elements from past titles and dont promote lonewolfing by not needing competent SL's...

    That's another thing about friggin low player count. As a lone wolf you make far less difference when there's 48 - 64 guys on a server, but when there are only 12 guys on your team, suddenly becoming Rambo isn't that impossible.

    Um, ok, but if we were going to play this at TG obviously that's not the case so why worry? They stated they'd have squadplay and VOIP enabled plus player-player comms, so teamwork should be easy enough to enforce and use.

    hahaha but still sniping is gonna be epic, it's also extremely funny when you get a head shot, you see a medic run revive him then his head pops up and before he gets oriented get another head shot lol

    I'll agree with this, and I feel sad that it will be so.

    But.

    I look forward to the other intellectual challenges brought on by the new games.
    I love the living crap out of the way BF2142 is set up right now, but just because BF:BC2 et al will be different, it doesn't mean the people playing them will be any less smart.

    Think what TG will make out of BC2. Just makes me smile

    I'm sad that BF2142 will die, but at the same time, I'm ready to embrace a different playstyle, to be a newblet again, to learn again, to start from square zero again.
